Jeb Bush, Jr. backs Huntsman

(CNN) - Jeb Bush, Jr. endorsed Jon Huntsman for president Wednesday at a press conference in Miami.

In addition to the formal endorsement, Bush, the son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, said he will become National Chairman of GenH, the former Utah governor's youth and young professionals outreach program.

The grandson of former President George H.W. Bush and nephew of former President George W. Bush said Huntsman is the 2012 candidate "best equipped to defeat President Obama next November."

"In a time of such global upheaval and strife, America needs a serious, experienced leader to restore America's promise, and that leader is Jon Huntsman," Bush wrote on Huntsman's website.

Huntsman met with members of the Bush family earlier this year.

Bush, 28, who backed former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani for president in 2008, said the former U.S. ambassador to China is the "only candidate with a proven record of creating jobs, in business and as governor."

Some in the Huntsman campaign hyped an endorsement expected this week, leading some to speculate the announcement would come from the elder Jeb Bush.

Huntsman jumped into the race in June and has since registered in the low single digits in most polls of Republican presidential candidates. But Bush said the figures will change when more Americans become familiar with his record.

"Two years ago, I jumped on board Marco Rubio's campaign when he was polling at 3 percent, and we made history," Bush said referencing the freshman Florida senator. "With Jon, I can't wait to make history again."

Any Republican will do, as the facts show, when you elect a Democrat for President, our nation suffers a major deduction of our credit rating. If Obama listened to the tea party then our credit rating would be where it was before Obama took office.

Then again this is all by design, Democrats hate America and want to destroy it. The actions of one Barack Obama and the comments from his sheep here at the ticker make this undeniable.

This is the election where an LDS Candidate can win! That is because they will be the only choice for a good person to make when you have to choose between a Mormon or a moron, or shall we say a Moore-on.

Listened to the family click video, nice family. They mentioned he went on a Mission trip when his rock group didn't take off. I guess he is Morman as Romney is. The wrong thing is, he isn't a Democrat.

Big whooptidoo. Jeb is no longer relevant and I think most Americans have had just about enough from the Bushes for awhile. Not sure that his endorsement does him any favors quite frankly.

the problem with Huntsman and Mittens is that they are considered the "Democrats" of their party, which is a shame. Mittens did a lot of good things for the state of Massachusetts and he is spending loads of time backpeddling from policies that actualy worked in favor of aligning himself with the GOP. For that reason, i would never vote for Mittens.

George HW Bush –> George W Bush
GW & Laura Bush –> Barbara Bush (grandma's name)
Jeb Bush –> Jeb Bush Jr.

Is it me or does this family lacking in imagination?

Anything spewing from the pie hole of a Bu$ch is toxic. Huntsman is thus 'New World Order' material and just as clear a threat to humanity as the rest of 'em....

As someone alluded to above, Hunts Man is just the "cleaned up" version of a GOBPbaggin' corrupt corporatism cult zombie. His beliefs in failed policies like deregulation and tax cuts for the ultrarich are in lockstep with the teatards, he just doesn't use the same inflammatory language the extreme rightwingers use. Take off the mask, though, and he still cares only for the greedy and not the needy.

Hunts Man's rich party-boy background is also way too much like GWB's, which really makes me suspicious of Jeb's endorsement.

Huntsman has the endorsement of Jeb Bush Jr.. Any day now Bristol Palin will step up and give him another irrelevant endorsement by someone who has done absolutely nothing except being born with a recognizable last name. Hell Lil Jeb hasn't even been on Dancing with the Stars...yet.

What a joke. Am I the only one sick and tired of the Bushs? If they were all sterilized tomorrow, I think I'd be ok with that.

Yes sir! Getting endorsements the old-fashioned way – by buying them! You don't think the appointment of Bush Jr. to head Huntsman's youth org and his subsequent endorsement are coincidence, do you? That said, Huntsman is, without a doubt, the Republican that I object to the least. I don't agree with a lot of his views, but I find him to be almost reasonable – a rare trait among Republican politicians these days.

Was Jeb Bush Jr drunk when he endorsed Huntsman? Last we heard from young Jeb Jr, he was arrested in Austin TX for public intoxication and resisting arrest. Typical Bush family trait – ignorant drunken fratboy. I'm sure Huntsman is thrilled over this important endorsement.

He's moderately sane, doesn't equate being gay with barbarism, is willing to reach across the aisle, and may get moderate support. That settles it, there is no chance he will win the primary.

Huntsman is a moderate, ergo, there is no chance in Hades that he will so much as place in the primaries.

Geez, people, stop buying Hunts Man's phony "moderate" act. Trust me, if you vote accordingly you'll get shafted just as bad as you will by an extreme rightwing teatard.

Come on America, anybody's better than Obama, let's try some one with a little common sense. Even Mickey Mouse is a shoe in without voter fraud, that is.

should it be considered news when a Bush most people have never heard of and has never made any substantive policy decisions himself announces his endorsement? Wake me when Jeb Sr, GWB and GHWB make their selections
