Perry will announce Saturday

Des Moines, Iowa (CNN) - Texas Gov. Rick Perry will announce that he is running for president on Saturday in South Carolina, a Republican familiar with the plans told CNN.

Previous reports had indicated that Perry would use a speech at the conservative RedState Gathering in Charleston to make his intentions clear, but would stop short of officially announcing a presidential bid.

But the Republican source told CNN that Perry will be in the Republican presidential race on Saturday.

I get the distinct feeling that a lot of people are jumping into the race because they accurately see Obama as a weak and failing President that will be ripe for the picking come next November. Given the ever worsening condition of this country, I'm sure even more will jump in.

Welcome to the race Governor Perry. Competition brings out the best, and with Michele Bachmann blazing the historic trail across America, all of the other candidates need to bring their "A" game. America has fallen in love with our five foot two firebrand....but we know it takes two candidates to make a team. If Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry team up, they will handily defeat Obama and Biden and work tirelessly to undo the damage that has been done to our great country. Good luck, Mr. Governor, Michele is ready to rumble !

Does he really think Americans will go for ANOTHER Texas Gov. for President? The man who threatened to secede. A man who is a mediocre Gov. and priorities are all tied up with his religion. This man is crazy! I know, I live in Texas.

While this man may be the "chosen one" he will certainly not be my choice. Rick Perry is a fraud and a liar. The State of Texas is facing a huge shortfall in the budget. Please check out the standings in healthcare and education. His record is overblown and, he because of his lack of integrity and intellect, he would make the perfect puppet for the powers that be. I urge everyone to do a lot of research into this man. You can start by googling "Rick Perry-Bilderberg, Istanbul, Turkey-secret meeting". Also, check out his college transcript at A&M. I am a Texan and I have never, nor will I ever vote for him for anything.

And what will he announce? That he is from TEXAS (not HIS fault!), that GOD HAS SENT HIM TO BE PRESIDENT, that HE WILL find ANOTHER WRONG COUNTRY TO ATTACK, that he will RESTORE BANKING DE-REGULATION, that HE WILL ABOLISH STOCK MARKET ACCOUNTABILITY, that HE WILL CUT SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICAID, and that HE WILL CERTAINLY give the MEGAPHONE A TRY?

Answers, Answers Mr. Perry – How will you cut the spending of the federal government when your state had to borrow money to pay its own bills? Answer – Why do you want to be President of the United States when you suggested that Texas leave the Union? How much did you make buying land from one friend at a discounted price and then turning around and selling it at an over inflated price, much more than it was actually worth? NO, NO don't need another Nixon in the White House why the hell isn't the press asking these questions.
