Perry will announce Saturday

Des Moines, Iowa (CNN) - Texas Gov. Rick Perry will announce that he is running for president on Saturday in South Carolina, a Republican familiar with the plans told CNN.

Previous reports had indicated that Perry would use a speech at the conservative RedState Gathering in Charleston to make his intentions clear, but would stop short of officially announcing a presidential bid.

But the Republican source told CNN that Perry will be in the Republican presidential race on Saturday.

Why is CNN holding my post for moderation? NEVER once have I been racist, used cuss words, threats, posted any religious, or anti-religious, sexual insinuations, or any other type of wording that is wrong! I have followed all the Rules of Conduct!

Is this a joke? He can't fix Texas so he decides to ask everyone to pray to his CHRISTIAN GOD to help him out and now he thinks he can be a president? He can't handle one state but he thinks he will be able to do so with 50? Whoever votes for him must be even dumber then Perry himself.

Rick Perry is a wolf in Sheep's clothing. He is a lair. Would not get in gear for the bill against the TSA in Texas until it was to late.

He needs to go back to Texas and do the job he was elected to do, and to continue to pray for rain for Texas. I don't want to have this guy win only to be forced to live under TEA-ia Law!!!

So Mr. I'm supposed to be President is finally going to announce the worst kept scret ever. Let me save you some $ Rick, stay in Texas, the nation hasn't recovered from the last C student governor from that state. The press may love you for a minute, couple of weeks after a few gaffs, and your state's 27 billion budget shortfall is fully vetted, you'll be polling in Newt , Santorum territory

Who cares. He will just spinter the candidats. His FAR-FAR-FAR Right approach is just what the others need. His pulpit is full of spointers. He may work in Texas but the US Citizenry is done with Presidential Candidates from Texas. Bush and Bush were too much.
