Iowa GOP Chair: Palin has work to do in the state

Washington (CNN) – Iowa GOP Chairman Matt Strawn said former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin better get to work in Iowa if she wants to run for president.

"This isn't the type of process where you can give speeches to thousands, or you can be behind 30-second ads or even Facebook posts," Strawn said in an interview on CNN's "John King, USA" Thursday. "You need to be on the ground, letting Iowans look you in the eye and kick the tires."

The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee hasn't announced a White House bid, but she made news Wednesday when confirming that her "One Nation" bus tour will roll into the Iowa State Fair this weekend.

The Hawkeye state hosts the first caucus in the 2012 primary and caucus calendar.

"She needs to do those things that have proven what you need to do to be successful in the Iowa caucuses, which is get here and actually let the voters ask tough questions," Strawn said.

Palin will be in Iowa during a crucial weekend for the 2012 presidential field. The second presidential debate takes place Thursday night in Ames, a city that's also home to the high-stakes straw poll on Saturday.

While she hasn't thrown her hat in the ring, Palin has remained at the forefront of recent political issues, weighing in on the debt deal and Standard and Poor's downgrade of the U.S. credit rating through media appearances and posts on her Facebook page.

First, she is totally irrelevant – made from her own makings. She's a high end RV traveler. More importantly, work to do in Iowa. Please. Work is not in her nature.

This gal is full of hot air and lies, she doesnt want to give up her salary at fox. She knows she would loose a debate, unless she knew the questions ahead of time. She has more fun bashing the president.

Leave Palin to weave her TeaBagger messages to the MAJORITY of the voters, and the GOP won't have a snowballs chance in Hell if she did run.
She is the best thing to happen to the Dems., she will destroy the GOP from with in its self.

GOP needs the Independent votes, she will never get their vote, she is a joke, a high school student knows more about US history, and commen sense economics than she does.
How did Alaska ever vote her as Gov.? Guess they no longer want her, she does not get their endorsement for elected office. She ran out on them for big $ in the media, and left them high and dry.
If she can't even commit to them, why in the hell should any TeaBagger trust her?
She only says what they want to hear, that they now not only drink the 'Kool-Aid" the idots pay for it!

Hey Mitt, stick a hot deep fried stick of butter in her mouth for us Independents, at that State Fair, were sick of her BS.
And good luck, your the best GOP has so far running, but those TeaBaggers can't stomach the LDS, so its a long shot.

$Palin is only trying to prove to the GOP & T-Party that she could still be a game changer.
Her current role is not playing the game, or coaching – just a cheerleader on the sidelines.
Distracting but not vital to the outcome.

Ya know, McCain should be on his knee's everyday thanking the American people for NOT putting him in office.
Remember the "fundamentals of the economy are strong"?
He wouldn't have bothered getting OBL.
And chances are $Palin would have found a way to discredit him or get him impeached

People! People! People! When are you gonna wake up and smell the moose dung? $arah Palin is NOT gonna run for President! Regarding her so-called bus tours, she flies to the city where the bus will be, boards the bus on the outskirts of town, then steps off the bus at a rally yawning like she's been sleeping on the bus all night! All this stuff she does are just AGDs (Attention Getting Devices)!!

Maybie she thinks she will shack up with the front runner to be, so she can get the vice pres. position with them?

Rick Perry beware, if she turns her TeaBaggers on him he won't be able to pray his way out of defeat.

Sarah Palin is the spoiler. She does not debate or join in the process for nominating a presidential candidate. She shows up in the states that are having straw votes or debates for the candidates. Who is spurring this on? The media by allowing her time on the web and anywhere else.

Until she declares Ms. Palin should not be on CNN, Fox, NBC, CBS, ABC, or any other channel. There are declared candidates and they should be the ones in the spotlight. How can we vote if we really cannot get enough info on each candidate? If Ms. Palin wants to be part of the process then she needs to declare. If not she is an ex-governor and an ex-candidate for VP. She has no portfolio.

She appeared in the pen with another pig named Bachmann. They were both wearing red billons to symbolize the blood they intend to spill in Jesus name all over the Islamic world. It was a tie until the very last moment when Palin broke the tie by winning the pig farting contest.

"You need to be on the ground, letting Iowans look you in the eye and kick the tires." UGH! Get a clue already! She is not running. She is just a big ole tease. Think back to high school and how the popular girl always made you feel like if you'd just hang on a little bit longer, you'd get some, but you never did because she had no intention of ever giving it. That is Palin.

It's Part 2 of the "Please Pay Attention To Me" tour. Watch the big bus tour end prematurely. When has this woman ever finished anything she has started? As long as the money keeps rolling into her checking account, that is ALL that matters. For those that refuse to acknowledge this as simple, plain truth, check your brain wave activity by getting a CAT scan.

Just tell me when our Sarah Palin ever cow-towed to any accepted political norms. Haven't you all figured it out yet. Our political system is broke and she will have none of what is accepted as "normal" or what others expect her to do. And this is especially so if these requirements are levied by the so-called political "elite". None of that bunk for our Sarah. Good on her.

She's not running you idiots. She's nothing but a media hog who's already past her peak. Even if she's still deluding herself thinking she might run, she can't put together a significant team for her campaign anymore. None of the significant GOP campaign teams will sign-on to her. She stinks of “loser”.

Palin is running away from debates by hiding behind facebook and Faux news and thinks she can just sneak in there after everyone else has done all the heavy lifting and the Republicans are saying the same thing. Even the Republicans are admitting so far there is no one prepared to debate Obama and surely they won't be made a fool again by putting Palin out there.
