(CNN) – President Barack Obama spoke in stark tones Wednesday night about what he said were the positive contributions of American Muslims in the years since the September 11, 2001, attacks, in remarks that came a month before the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
"Muslim Americans were innocent passengers on those planes," Obama said, referring to the aircraft that slammed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in the September 11 attacks, "including a young married couple looking forward to the birth of their first child."

You've set the example Mr. President in spite of being treated so disrespectfully by some in and out of government.
It is good that you continue to remind all Americans of what it is that sets us apart from many other countries. Let us hope that our propensity for irrational, and ignorance-based fear does not end up with Muslim-Americans in internment camps a la WWII.
Of course if it weren't for Muslims we would not be in such fine condition today would we?
I'm a Christian. I thank American Muslims too, for their contributions to our country and their living an example of peace here...something that all Christians SHOULD aspire to.

He praised law abiding muslim Americans. He even hosted muslims for a dinner during the muslim holy month of Ramadan. (Just like every President has done for decades.)
The worst fears of right wing extremists is coming home to roost. This is where their fun begins and mine, too. I love watching slow motion train wrecks.
