(CNN) - The turbulent financial climate of recent years has not had a noticeable impact on Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s own wallet, according to personal financial information released Friday by his campaign.
The GOP frontrunner owns assets totaling $190 million to $250 million in value, according to a Romney campaign estimate. It is the identical amount his campaign provided four years ago in estimating the wealth of the former Massachusetts governor and his wife.
The campaign says the couple’s assets are kept in a blind trust with investments in energy, health care, telecommunications and other industries. The GOP presidential hopeful also donated the proceeds from his 2010 book, “No Apology,” to six charities.
Romney’s personal finances are also detailed in a financial disclosure report submitted Friday to the Federal Election Commission. That report, which does not require exact dollar amounts, puts his assets at between $85 million and $264 million.
Another deep-pocketed candidate in the GOP presidential field is former Utah governor Jon Huntsman. According to a financial disclosure report he filed earlier this year as President Obama’s ambassador to China, Huntsman owns assets valued between $17.8 million and $84.0 million.
What is wrong with being worth $250M for an "unemployed" I only carry $100 bills in my wallet candidate?
Did we ever find out who gave him that donation for $1M? Of course not, the media only scratches the surface. We have to go to Stewart, Olberman and Maher to really dig down deep in the crap to find out the truth!
$250 Million! Wow! How much of that was made by shipping jobs overseas? 150mil, 200 mil?
