Cain says Obama impeachment would be 'a great thing'

(CNN) – Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain said it would be "great" to impeach the president, but that the Democratic controlled Senate would prevent such action.

On a conference call with bloggers Tuesday night, the former Godfather's Pizza CEO called the health care law and the Obama administration's stance over the Defense of Marriage Act impeachable offenses.

The news was first reported by POLITICO and later confirmed to CNN by the Cain campaign.

"There are a number of things where a case could be made in order to impeach him, but because Republicans do not control the United States Senate, they would never allow it to get off the ground," Cain said on the call. "The president is supposed to uphold the laws of this nation … and to tell the Department of Justice not to uphold the Defense of Marriage Act is a breach of his oath."

Cain: Look at me! Look at me! I'm as nutty as the rest of the loons!
America: Sit down, pizza guy. Go brush up on impeachable offenses while Parry takes a course on treason.

Cain you are an idiot and a low life. Don't you have any shame to talk like that about our President? You should be celebrating the fact that after so many centuries, a black man finally won the race and brought pride to your race. I know you will NEVER EVER become the president of this country...not even in your dreams. You don't have that kind of sharpness of the mind and intellect. Running a pizza joint is as far as you can go. Go and talk this nonsense in your hood.

Cain is reaching hard to get attention. It's already been revealed that the Defense of Marriage Act was a shield to ban gay marriage by right wing, "Christian" conservatives. This was a ploy played up by that little sneaky fox Karl Rove. Since the Presidents job is to uphold the laws of this nation as suggested by Cain, I wonder if he will uphold the Healthcare Law if he becomes President? Sounds to me like it's an impeachable offense only if he disagrees with the law in place.

This man wants to be president, yet does not know the workings of government. It is the House that impeaches.

The job of president is a job where derelictin of duty is forgivable because of lack of insight or wide interpretation of the law. Unless Cain shows proof of a crime he is over the top to say impeach him for supporting same gender marriage. I could see his concern because if enough men marry one another we will cease as a race but history has shown that men prefer women by large numbers. Bad policy usually gets you voted out of office. This may be what breaks the camels back.

How does his administration's evolving stance on DOMA so much as /begin/ to crest the level threshhold of either treason or high crimes and misdemeanors? It's become so pathetically obvious that the Grand Old Party will do, say and try absolutely anything at all to not merely present a loyal opposition - that ship sailed with the brinksmanship on the debt ceiling and the resulting instability in the U.S. economy - but in fact to supplant the clear, stated, constitutional will of the people. For shame.

pizza-man – see if you can follow the logic. I'll try to keep in in small words.

    The Presidential Oath of Office:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

The Constitution includes the Equal Protection Clause (14th Amendment).

In instructing DOJ to stop defending DOMA, Obama is keeping his oath of office, and not kowtowing to some homophobic, unconstitutional law put in place by a less courageous predecessor.

Cain need to shut up. When he opens his mouth, too much stupidity leaks out.
