Rove's Palin prediction

(CNN) – Karl Rove predicted Sunday that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is likely to run for president and will make her decision known soon.

Rove, the former top political adviser to President George W. Bush and co-founder of American Crossroads, a conservative political action committee, said Palin's upcoming trip to Iowa and recent web video are evidence she is gearing up for a run.

"I'm not much of a gambler, but I'd put a little more money that she gets in than if she doesn't," Rove told "Fox News Sunday."

If Palin, who was the vice presidential candidate on the 2008 Republican ticket, doesn't make a decision shortly, people will assume she is not running and withhold their support, Rove said.

"You can only tease so many times in the political process, and I think she is getting to the end of that," Rove said.

Palin has flirted with a White House bid for months, even launching a bus tour in early presidential contest states.

Most recently, she attended the Iowa State Fair on the same weekend as the high stakes Ames Straw Poll. The video her political action committee released Friday showcased her trip to the first-in-the-nation caucus state.

Palin returns to Iowa to address a tea party group on September 3rd.

i think it's much more profitable to pretend you are running for president. travel the country on other people's money with no liability? sign me up for a superpac!

only one VP on a losing ticket has ever come back and been elected president – and palin is no fdr!

She can't afford to run. It would be below her pay grade. Oh, wait, she'll only serve a half-term.

Palin might run? Great. I could use some humor in my life!

In fact, with the exceptions of Huntsman and Paul, the current GOP presidential candidates seem remarkably brainless. Maybe Palin, Perry, "Mr. Identity Crisis" (Cain) and others can all "take a hay ride off to nowhere" (as that's exactly where they would take the country). We don't need a "folksy idiot," a loud-mouthed Texan or a clueless tax lawer that can't get simple facts straight (and who demonstrates that she's totally lost, in her understanding of global crude oil markets)!

I DO NOT agree with everything that Obama has done. However, he inherited a bigger hell-storm than anyone could imagine (and at least he's moved to the center). The current GOP candidates seem more motivated in their hatred for him than in healing the country. . .and hard to believe that some of their hate is not motivated by prejudice. DOES ANYONE REALLY BELIEVE that that any congressman would have yelled "You lie" at Carter of Clinton? Please!

The half-baked Alaskan is mounting a half-effort campaign just like her half-served governorship. I doubt she will make it half-way through 2012. And no, I do not fear her. She was the losing half of the McCain/Palin ticket.

Nice try Karl, but the party has not only moved on, but changed as well. You're a relice from a forgotten era.

Oh Goodie – More misinformation, lies, hate, and fear - Bachmann must not be doing a good enough job - the pro needs to help her out with her far-right propaganda.

Geeeez – It makes me ashamed of this country that we even ALLOW the nutjobs to speak on TV.

The more the merrier and the only sane one in the bunch does not have a chance. Huntsman.

oh come on! the office of the president is a real job. she only lasted halfway thru a governor's term for a state that doesn't even have a million people in it. she is smart enough to know that she will be overwhelmed. the book tour is done now, and she'll settle in at fox as a babbling idiot. no thinking needed.

After seeing the term "Political Action Committee" for the seven millionth time, it occurred to me: PACs ought to be political parties. There should be hundreds or thousands of political parties. Not two. Two parties means they're both suck-ups. NO political party should be able to get ANYONE elected. They should be nothing more than a voice for similar opinions. Maybe then we'd have a system that WORKS.

It is still a free Country, let her run. She has zero chance of winning. I am not convinced that she will run though because she would have to give up her lucrative position with Fox.

There are 10 women Presidents around the World and Palin is an American embarrassment against these women. Palin will run alright, running away from debates while everyone else does all the heavy lifting. Palin is limited, she knows it and can't comprehend debt, economy, newspapers/magazine, continents vs countries, she slams education because her poor little daughter Bristol claims she wish she had gotten an education instead of having a baby. Heck, Palin doesn't understand or know simple history like "Paul Reveres Ride" and every school kid knows that.

Everyone knows Karl Rove is a genius – he just predicted the sun will rise in the East sometime tomorrow. What else has Sarah Palin been doing since November 2008 if not running for president? As far as I know, there are no jobs that involve giving speeches, gladhanding, and riding around on busses with the exception of running for office – and technically, that really isn't a job.

Oh WOW! Isn't she the one that can see Russsia from her house? And Isn't she the one that said she quit her job as Alaska Gov. because she did not want to sit in a old stuffy office anymore and she would rather be in nature its self hunting and fishing? If she was a president when the going gets tough she just may walk out on her job as she will miss seeing Russia from her house! Oh boy isn't she something..Just so precious!

"I'm not much of a gambler, but I'd put a little more money that she gets in than if she doesn't," Rove told "Fox News Sunday."

I'm not much of a gambler, either, but I'll bet the Bachmann farm that Rove is PRAYING Palin "gets in". Makes it easier for Rove to go all GOPer moderate with his boy yakety-yak Romney when the likes of Perry, Bachmann, Paul, and Cain are all out touting the crazy vote as the next "thy kingdom come" on earth. Add Palin to the mix, and the sweeter it is for Rove. Too bad Mitt can't even stand on his own two feet in defense of himself against the rest of the GOPer clown factory. Understandable that Rove is taunting Palin to run, knowing she'll create a much needed distraction away from Romney. Doesn't show much leadership when you can't even get a word in edgewise against your own party. Especially now that Huntsman has given up pandering to the TeaPers and is trying to mount a flip-flop comeback of his own in representing himself once again as a political moderate.

Here is my political wishllist Santa, Sarah Palin runs and wins the republican nomination; then she blows all the money the republican base has been shoving into her pockets for quiting her govenor job so she could stay in the media limelight and then Obama wins the presidency. Then we get a broke Sarah Palin and a Democrat president all in one wish.

It would really help every other candidate if she did run and especially the Democrats. There could be a Perry Palin ticket and if they combine their grades they would get a C- combined. But you have to get seroius and figure of what in the heck could she run on ? There is absolutley nothing that she has done that she could talk Americans into giving her the toughest job in the world, and promotimg someone who has 2 years experience as a small town Governor THAT QUIT when it got tough.Thank goodness she is very unlikely to even try and if she did, she would finally find the truth that some may like her but in the voting booth there is no way she could be trusted to lead the entire free world. If she does run it will be strictly for financial gains. And some wonder why the current US political system is the lauging stock of the world. If Palin were to become President the stock market would be closed and Canada would increase its population by 298 million that very day.

Way to go out on a limb there, Rove, to predict that she might be doing something she has been actively and very publicly doing for over 3 YEARS.
