(CNN) – Karl Rove predicted Sunday that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is likely to run for president and will make her decision known soon.
Rove, the former top political adviser to President George W. Bush and co-founder of American Crossroads, a conservative political action committee, said Palin's upcoming trip to Iowa and recent web video are evidence she is gearing up for a run.
"I'm not much of a gambler, but I'd put a little more money that she gets in than if she doesn't," Rove told "Fox News Sunday."
If Palin, who was the vice presidential candidate on the 2008 Republican ticket, doesn't make a decision shortly, people will assume she is not running and withhold their support, Rove said.
"You can only tease so many times in the political process, and I think she is getting to the end of that," Rove said.
Palin has flirted with a White House bid for months, even launching a bus tour in early presidential contest states.
Most recently, she attended the Iowa State Fair on the same weekend as the high stakes Ames Straw Poll. The video her political action committee released Friday showcased her trip to the first-in-the-nation caucus state.
Palin returns to Iowa to address a tea party group on September 3rd.

Let her run! The comedy would be unprecedented.
If she actually does run, it will only be because she wants to continue to keep her name in the headlines. She knows she has no chance at the nomination, much less anything else. But, this way she'd be able to keep the attention on her, what she truly wants. Of course, this also means she'd actually have to do interviews, talk to real people, and subject herself to further scrutiny, which we all know would not go well for her. Personally, I don't believe she'll do it. She's too in love with the money and attention she gets now.
I believe Palin is smart enough to know she is not electable.

With Sarah Palin's entry into the GOP race, it will become a serious "Bible Busting Bloody Battle Royale" between Sarah Palin, Rick Perry, and Michele Bachmann.
And as the Compassionate Christian Conservatives hypocritically tear into each other, Mitt Romney will be quietly sitting on the fence collecting campaign donations from moderate and Independent-leaning Republicans.

Rove is trying to get PALIN in the line-up of GOP presidential hopefuls for one reason. He wants the GOP choices to look weak and likely to fail so that at the last hour, bottom of the ninth, score tied, two outs, two strikes he will pick up the dug out phone, call the bull pen and ask for his " ace in the hole", his "closer ", his "game saver",no other than the one and only JEB BUSH. Jeb strides to the mound, takes the ball from manager Rove, the ump yells "PLAY BALL", silence falls over the crowd, Jeb gets the signal fom his catcher, winds up, fires his fast ball, the batter swings, SWOOSH, WHACK, its a long fly to deep left field its going, going, this ball could be outa here, going, going HOME RUN. GAME OVER, GOP LOSES. Sorry Carl but THE DONALD (Trump ) says YOU'RE FIRED.
If she wins the nomination then it only proves that Republicans love a quitter.
Obviously she's going to run, but I'm wondering if she's aiming more towards being picked as a running mate rather than getting the main gig? She must know she can't win the election and will have a better chance of being VP.

Rove. Wrong again, as usual. I predicted a long time ago, on these comment sections, that Sister Sarah was NOT going to run. Sister Sarah is EXACTLY the media celebrity that conservatives always said they hated about Democrats. The only way Sister Sarah will run at this point is in order to try and further inflate her media celebrity status. She knows she has ZERO chance of winning. She can't get one of the top notch campaign teams to back her at this point. The only reason she'd be running is because her ego is hurting over the real candidates having the NERVE to steal some of her media time. The little girl can't stand the fact that she's not always the center of the media attention anymore. Sister Sarah needs to go pouting back to Alaska and stay there. (My apologies to Alaska.)

I personally know a few people that would actually vote for her. They are, of course, myth-believing religious types and hardcore Republicans. Seemingly bright when you first meet them, but become sudden morons when they talk about politics or their "faith".

One post says Sarah Palin should be asked whether she would "quite" (sic) the presidency just like she did the governorship of Alaska? I remember a sitting president announcing on TV that he would not seek, nor accept, if nominated for a second term by his party, to be president of the US.
MB Seattle says, "A fool and his money are soon parted." i would guess that a reasonable person acquainted with America's history of failed military adventures since WWII, for example, in Korea and Viet Nam, sees arrogance and foolishness on display by Washington in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan; throwing away several billions a week. What is wrong with some Americans? Palin would twice as worse as George W. Bush and go to war with North Korea and Iran and send US into more debt than you could image and make things worse for the US then Bush did. But some Americans are stupid enough to vote her in power when they don't realize Americans need Universal Health Care like Obama tried to introduce and Obama is the best thing for Americans.
