Rove levels Palin accusation

(CNN) – Karl Rove accused Sarah Palin of "thin skin" over a message from her political action committee criticizing the speculation surrounding her presidential intentions.

"It is a sign of enormous thin skin if we speculate about her, she gets upset, and I suspect if we didn't speculate about her, she'd be upset and trying to find a way to get us to speculate about her," Rove said Wednesday night of Fox News.

The statement from SarahPAC, released Monday, said the predictions are "intended to mislead the American people" and "fuel the 24 hour news cycle."

The post followed Rove's comments Sunday when he said the release of a web ad and the former Alaska governor's travel schedule are evidence she is more likely than not to jump into the race.

But Rove, a former adviser to President George W. Bush, said if Palin is unhappy with the speculation she should "simply say 'I'm not running.'"

"Instead, every time she pops up in the public eye – like she did on CNN at the Iowa State Fair a number of days ago – she said 'I haven't made a decision,'" Rove said.

The former 2008 vice presidential candidate is expected to address a tea party event in Iowa on September 3. When asked recently in Iowa if she would be ready to join the race by Labor Day, Palin said "I doubt it."

    I wish the news media would cover only those that are running for the presidency. These "extra" voices aren't needed.

    @Democrat Class Warfare – Destroying the economy, destroying the country

    I got news for you sunshine...It is the MIDDLE CLASS that pays for and subsidizes the government. Are you still getting your info from Faux Snooze?
    ================================================================================================
    Maybe you need to do some research (you can read can't you?) before regurgitating your lunch on this blog. Top 1% pays more than 30-35% of federal income tax. Top 5% pay more than 50% of the federal income taxes collected. Nearly 50% pay NOTHING. What planet are you from?

    You are 100% correct Democrat Class Warfare – Destroying the economy, destroying the country. Your stats are dead on. You do not have to go to Fox News to find facts like these, just Google it. Anyone informed would know this without ever going to Fox News. Truth is most of the left wing clowns know it to, just do not want to admit it, they think they can actually fool someone I guess.

    She's doing a Trump. We've watched Trump tease us about a possible run during several election cycles now (not that anyone really wants to elect Trump). Palin is great a making news out of nothing... and the bucks keep coming in. She could have a sign that says, "The buck stops here," and it would mean something different from what we'd usually think. She's like the Paris Hilton of politics. getting news for doing nothing but showing up.

    @The Real Tom Paine

    I was not aware Perry had new budget cuts going into effect in Texas. I will indeed pay attention.

    I also agree a balanced approach is need for deficit reduction. I posted earlier today on the Buffet piece about the benefits of increasing revenue through tax reform.

    Have a good day.

    Sarah Palin's entire game plan is precisely that "misleading the American people" and "fueling the 24 hour news cycle." Does she not realize what a transparent, hypocritical media-whore she is? An Alaskan that's been playing the gee shucks Southerner card almost as well as Larry the Cable Guy at one of her finer moments of stupidity...

    Its been leaked that Palin will jump in later ,and if she doent wil and Perry does,she will go in to work under him. Just as the Hillery-Obama thing went 4 years ago

    Face it, Palin is an idiot that the media adore, for some strange reason. Maybe they just enjoy the levity of laughing at her ridiculous spewing of stupid ideas! If she and the other Reps running for Pres. are the best the Reps can offer, there isn't much of a contest as far as I'm concerned.

    Sarah, thin-skinned? She put her family on display and then complains the media attacked them. She whines endelessly about how she was not implicit in McCain's loss; she quits as governor when it became too hard for her. She'll never be anything by a fading celebrity wannabe. Michelle Bachmann was stolen her thunder of the Poster Girl for the Party with the Fringe on Top and she can't stand the lack of attention–she lost in the Ms. Alaska pageant and has clearly never gotten over it.

    So, what? The best thing about Sarah Palin is that she repeatedly buries herself. Just sit back and let her keep doing it. Best to let her show all her colors as 2012 approaches, don'tcha think?

    So what? Just sit back and watch her bury herself again and again with her own stupidity. If nothing else, it's entertaining.

    years ago, (not back in the day) I had a friend who always had an attitude regarding any personal issue or if you were truthful with her. she thought everyone was "out to get her". once after listening to her spout off on something I can't even remember what, I said "wait a minute" and brushed off an imaginary something form her shoulder. she asked "what was it", I said, "I was just brushing that chip off your shoulder". another friend walking with us couldn't believe what I'd just done, gave me the raised eyebrows and whispered I was being very brave. if sarah needs a good smack, I'd be happy to volunteer!

    Thin skin....think so? That's so obvious it sickening. Palin, like many of the simple minded, doesn't like to be questioned or asked for the rationale behind her actions. She is unqualified for office. Only an idiot would vote for her but, alas, that is what many people of our nation have become.

    It took Nixon to go to China, and it took Rove to finally lay Palin low.

    Rove is smart and funny. He is often worth a good chuckle. If only he had some other decent qualities, but sadly, he doesn't. Cheney has a funny side, too, but like Rove, he's evil to the core, albeit not nearly as much as the tea party candidates. This is what the GOP gets for pandering to the far-right whackos – now it's all they've got and they're steering the ship (badly).
