Rove levels Palin accusation

(CNN) - Karl Rove accused Sarah Palin of "thin skin" over a message from her political action committee criticizing the speculation surrounding her presidential intentions.

"It is a sign of enormous thin skin if we speculate about her, she gets upset, and I suspect if we didn't speculate about her, she'd be upset and trying to find a way to get us to speculate about her," Rove said Wednesday night of Fox News.

The statement from SarahPAC, released Monday, said the predictions are "intended to mislead the American people" and "fuel the 24 hour news cycle."

The post followed Rove's comments Sunday when he said the release of a web ad and the former Alaska governor's travel schedule are evidence she is more likely than not to jump into the race.

But Rove, a former adviser to President George W. Bush, said if Palin is unhappy with the speculation she should "simply say 'I'm not running.'"

"Instead, every time she pops up in the public eye – like she did on CNN at the Iowa State Fair a number of days ago – she said 'I haven't made a decision,'" Rove said.

The former 2008 vice presidential candidate is expected to address a tea party event in Iowa on September 3. When asked recently in Iowa if she would be ready to join the race by Labor Day, Palin said "I doubt it."

Nothing like picking and choosing parts of facts to support your claims...

50% of citizens do not pay federal income taxes because 1) they make such little money 2) retirees receive SS benefits which are not taxable income 3)the various credits people receive for earned income, childcare, etc.

BUT these people still pay plenty of other taxes; property, sales, excise, state to name a few. Nice try though.

don't vote for dem or repub, they are all bad politicians. They are all just pawns of the rich and the corporations. Vote them out so the middle class can survive.

Poor Sarah Palin is upset. Boo hoo... Well, I've been sick-to-my-stomach upset ever since she surfaced courtesy of ol' man McCain. She's made a mockery of public service (quitting as AL's governor) and been a prime contributor to the dumbing down of the American electorate. She's a shill for herself and herself alone. She's beyond caricature.

Karl recognizes his own weaknesses so clearly in Sarah. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

All these negative observations of Palin could easily be said about Obama.
Even Obama's Town Hall meetings will only allow screened questions so he won't have to answer a gotcha question. That would require Obama to actually think on his feet. That's why he won't do press conferences, we've seen very few.
OBAMA has the thinnest skin of any politician, he interrupts and stutters if he's put on the spot. That you can't deny.

A-ha! Obama has probably the thickest skin I've ever seen any human being have. He is pounded, bashed and attacked daily around the clock by people filled with hate and fear. I am probably more impressed with his thick skin than with him being able to stand up and tell the tea partiers to go to hell. Obama has no fear of the press, but Palin does. She's a coward and only appeals to racists like herself. She will never lead this country forward. She would lead it backward if given the chance. She nor her lazy husband can't carry Obama's jock strap, let alone debate with him. But lucky for us, this woman will never sit in the Oval Office – NEVER!

sarah palin is proof that the human body can live in the absence of a brain. The contents of my septic tank are more qualified to be president than she is.

This woman is not ready for prime time and responds to all criticism with childish responses, but she's smart enough to use the media to keep her in the headlines to make her rich ... can't hate her for that. I do disagree with her policy views and do agree with another poster who stated she is only getting attention because of her looks. Although she is annoying, she is physically attractive and she's using her looks to dupe her male followers. Her female fans just want to associate themselves with her so they can live their lives through her experiences/popularity. They can't honestly believe she's up to the task of the Oval Office.

The news agency journalists may be intimidating to many people that will have the ability to cause them a lot of grief in the near future, journalists and news agencies better start treating people with respect.

Oh, John McCain, John McCain, what have you done to the American people? You're a great man whom I have long admired. I do realize, however, that everyone makes mistakes now and then. Your introduction of Sarah Palin to the world is the mother-of-all-mistakes.

Rove confuses integrity, morality, ethics, honesty, compassion, conviction and other noble qualities with "thin skin" because he and most using and taking Americans are incapable of appreciating the good qualities. Most Americans are a POS.

I am a democrat, but i am begging the republican followers today to stop donating money to this money grubbing pig. She could care less about you or this country. She is raking in millions, while you can't pay your mortgages or even find a job. Keep your money, help your children. What exactly has she done to help your families? The very thought of her makes me want to vomit! It's all about her, it always has been. What in God's name does a failed movie and book have to do with helping people. How did that put money in your pockets? She's so self centered, I just pray all you followers see her for who she is. If you must support a Republican, find someone who is worthy of your money! Her face and voice makes me ill. Tell her to focus on her family. It seems like her children are following in mom's footsteps-getting pregnant before they get married. Please let her go home to Alaska and fade away!!!!!

Yes, like many others here I am feeling a bit disoriented, as I find myself agreeing with Rove. Of all people. However, knowing Turd Blossom's MO, I'd like to bet 5 bucks that he's getting ready to back a candidate, and it ain't gonna be Sarah Palin.

Rove said something truthful for a change. Palin is a like a stray dog looking to be fed with attention instead of food. She irrelevant, a private citizen, and has a handful of followers. If CNN and every news outlet except for Fox would just quit reporting on her, she'd eventually vanish.

There's an expression: Stupid people make the mistake of assuming other people are as stupid as they are. Why does Palin come to mind?

Airhead is probably the only GOP'er with a mirror on every wall in her bedroom – so she can keep looking at herself...

"Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the most narcissistic GOP'er of them all?"
    "You are, Sarah"....

Watch out, this is the first step down a slippery slope ! Don't start getting into the habit of agreeing with Rove. . Truth is truth, and I can appreciate Rove's description of Sarah Barracuda, but that does not mean it is ROVE I agree with, it's his assessment in this matter only.

Sarah Palin needs to make up her mind. She will not be able to sit out the primaries and straw polls and then enter the race. I hope Republicans can persuade her not to do so. Declare now or back off and let the candidates who are running get the media attention.

If there is a god and that god wants Obama to have a second term, a sure sign will be Palin declaring herself a candidate. The proof will be her on the ticket in the general election. President or VP. A ticket sinker if ever there was one.
