Rove levels Palin accusation

(CNN) – Karl Rove accused Sarah Palin of "thin skin" over a message from her political action committee criticizing the speculation surrounding her presidential intentions.

"It is a sign of enormous thin skin if we speculate about her, she gets upset, and I suspect if we didn't speculate about her, she'd be upset and trying to find a way to get us to speculate about her," Rove said Wednesday night of Fox News.

The statement from SarahPAC, released Monday, said the predictions are "intended to mislead the American people" and "fuel the 24 hour news cycle."

The post followed Rove's comments Sunday when he said the release of a web ad and the former Alaska governor's travel schedule are evidence she is more likely than not to jump into the race.

But Rove, a former adviser to President George W. Bush, said if Palin is unhappy with the speculation she should "simply say 'I'm not running.'"

"Instead, every time she pops up in the public eye – like she did on CNN at the Iowa State Fair a number of days ago – she said 'I haven't made a decision,'" Rove said.

The former 2008 vice presidential candidate is expected to address a tea party event in Iowa on September 3. When asked recently in Iowa if she would be ready to join the race by Labor Day, Palin said "I doubt it."

Rove and Palin. Two power and money hungry enemies of the American people that history will not treat well.

Oh no...I just agreed with Karl Rove on something. I feel dirty now.
Palin is definitely playing a game with all this – you know she's going to run, her ego is too big now to step aside and she's been playing candidate for months now. She and her camp surely love all the speculation and attention, and it gives her yet another chance to undeservedly play the victim of the media.

It is clear that Sarah is incapable of having any kind of constructive relationship with people who disagree with her. People who disagree with her tend to become enemies for life. Unfortunately, that means that she will never be able to surround herself with people who are smarter than her, because if she did, they would more than likely disagree with her quite often. This behavior is very destructive, you simply cannot go in life making enemies everywhere you go. In her delusional mind, she thinks that the problems will stop the day she becomes President, but they would only get worse. In her delusional mind, she thinks that once she is President, everybody will agree with her. That is a fantasy that only exists in her mind. If you asked me, I would say that this woman belongs in the Nut House, not the White House.

Way to confront this attention seeking fruitcake KARL. If she doesn;t make a decision by Sept 3 stop all media attention on her. She knows if she runs her "political caerer" is over and thus the income.. We all know her "running: is a bogus attempt to stay in the political spotlight.. without ever doing a real debate or interview. And FOX-what a ridiculous excuse for a news station. It is not news but a Teabaggers anonymous show-make facts up as they spin.. DO A REAL INTERVIEW SARAH.

She is only making a business off of being this character she is! She wants attention but is a waste of life. She has nothing to offer and she know's this....but she does not want to cease to exist. If she does that....she will not have an income.

This camera hound, Sara is doing anything she can, to keep the money coming in..
I never thought I would agree with Karl Rove, but I do on this...........

I think Michelle has taken her thunder from her............I am not a republican.......and never will be.........

This woman Sara needs to go back, to her million dollar home, she has in Arizona, or Alaska and stay..........and never show her
self again..........she would be doing everyone a favor.............peace out.

She has always wanted to be the star of the show. Whether it is for money or just publicity, she will be there saying nothing except bashing the president, but not adding anything constructive.

This is actually the smartest thing Rove has ever said. Palin would cry if the media didn't follow her every move, but when they try to steal her thunder by predicting that she will, naturally, try a run at the Presidency she gets upset. Not that any legitimate analyst gives her a snowball's chance in a blast furnace of securing the nomination, let alone beating Obama.

Can't have it both ways, Sarah baby.

This is the first time I think I've ever agreed with Karl Rove. Palin loves to play games, loves to be an armchair quarterback, loves to play "gotcha" politics (though she currently holds no political position), loves to make statements after the fact based on hindsight, loves to say "I told you so." But can't take criticism. The only thing that would really set her off is if everyone stopped talking about her completely as she is a bigger media whore than any train-wreck pop music performer.

It is all part of the Bush crowd plot to run Jeb in 2016. They can't do that if a Repub defeats Obama this time.

She's playing you, folks. Like a harp from Hell. She's going to enter. Right now, she's saving money, under the radar. She doesn't have to participate in anything she thinks will make her look bad. She can participate in any function she'd like, as folks want her to be there. So now, she can pick and choose without consequence. She doesn't have to report, nor fundraise, as the tea party supports her current journey. Now she can wait until the drop dead last minute, then jump right in, and avoid the past 4 months the current participants have had to go through. Smart idea, wonder who thought it up?

Isn't this something most of us learned in '08 and Rove is finally saying it? McCain should never be forgiven for launching this childish cheerleading airhead on our country. The GOP is in serious trouble and it's fun to watch the in fighting.

Rove is a jerk but he's right on here. Palin acts like a little high school girl. Grow up Palin, if you want to run with the big dogs. Please do the world a favor and just GO AWAY. She is such a zero of a person. Obama 2012!!!!

She's having more media coverage pretending not to be running. Why would she bother to actually run? And shame on the media for giving her daily coverage. Sarah Palin is to politics as Paris Hilton is to entertainment.

Karl Rove is correct. If her name doesn't appear for more than a week in the media, Palin has gotten into this habit of releasing a teaser or two to attract (media) attention, court controversy, have people say something and then start acting like a brusque adolescent girl, almost like Paris Hilton. You can explain this in the porngraphic way of showing all the arousing parts of the body and attracting men's attention, and when they get too aroused to and come try to touch her, she'll start crying that they are out to molest and rape her. If someone doesn't want so desperate attention, then they don't behave the way Palin is behaving.

The thing is, if Palin says she is not running suddenly she will be dismissed by the media and their focus will be on the declared candidates. By dragging out her announcement she keeps the media spotlight on herself. She wants to milk it. She probably waiting to see how stiff the competition will be before she decides to run. It's going to be a tough race for the GOP because each candidate is trying to out conservative the next. If Adolf Hitler was running as a Republican they'd try to brand him a moderate.
