Rove levels Palin accusation

(CNN) – Karl Rove accused Sarah Palin of "thin skin" over a message from her political action committee criticizing the speculation surrounding her presidential intentions.

"It is a sign of enormous thin skin if we speculate about her, she gets upset, and I suspect if we didn't speculate about her, she'd be upset and trying to find a way to get us to speculate about her," Rove said Wednesday night of Fox News.

The statement from SarahPAC, released Monday, said the predictions are "intended to mislead the American people" and "fuel the 24 hour news cycle."

The post followed Rove's comments Sunday when he said the release of a web ad and the former Alaska governor's travel schedule are evidence she is more likely than not to jump into the race.

But Rove, a former adviser to President George W. Bush, said if Palin is unhappy with the speculation she should "simply say 'I'm not running.'"

"Instead, every time she pops up in the public eye – like she did on CNN at the Iowa State Fair a number of days ago – she said 'I haven't made a decision,'" Rove said.

The former 2008 vice presidential candidate is expected to address a tea party event in Iowa on September 3. When asked recently in Iowa if she would be ready to join the race by Labor Day, Palin said "I doubt it."

Can anyone really imagine the dithering, whining, indecisive, pretentious former beauty queen and her hillbilly clan in the White House making decisions that will shape our world? Really??? Her eldest child, a juvenile deliquent who cut the brakelines on schoolbuses and impregnated his girlfriend before marriage, her eldest daughter bearing a child out of wedlock... What next? The Palins in the White House? Shudder.

Yeah we're fueling up your car for you right now by posting on this story Sara; we've even topped off your fluids, changed your wipers, and checked your tire pressures. You should be good to go until your camp manufactures another story.

Karl just broke one of Reagan's commandments, "Do not criticize someone in your own party". Not that Sarah doesn't merit criticism. It should be fun when the neocons weigh in on this one. Whose side do they take? The "main stream media" and liberals had nothing to do with this one.

So, like many of the comments...I never agree with Karl Rove. But for once I do agree with him. He really hit it on the nail about Palin.

Does McCain remind you of Dr. Frankenstein? He really created a monster.
Let's make Karl Rove Igor and for the first time in my life I am going to agree that Karl Rove is RIGHT.

As a lifelong democrat, I love seeing these old time Republican good ol boys flip around like flounders on a beach because of the nuts they created.

Carl Rove is again shouting from the peanut gallery. Sarah Palin is his favorite target. He keeps on saying that she is going to run for Presient. Carl Rove should shut up, if he is so smart about Sarah Palin and all the rest of the presidentual candidates he should throw his hat into the ring himself. Carl Rove being a trader to his country but exposing a CIA Opertave to the now dead Robet Novak shouldn't be shouting from the peanut gallery. I wouldn't put to much stock in what Carl Rove says. Don't forget everyone Carl Rove got away with "Treason". My opinion I could care less if Sarah Palin runs or not because I know she won't win the Republician nomination. I'ts as simple as that.

Rove is right. Palin is just an ego in a dress. She just wants attention and she's getting it. Of course, she doesn't want any hardball questions or she'll scream "bias", the way all Republicans do.

Well, Well Sarah.. that 24 news media is the only one that carries your name....... the main stream media and by that I mean ABC, CBS NBC, etc., so where do you get your pubicity from......... if not from the 24 hour news programs...... And by the way FOX has been silent about you for months now......... embarrassed I wuld guess.

Anyway.... Sarah needs to focus on solutions to the US problems instead of criticising them..... I have questions that Ms Sarah needs to answer,,,,,,,,,,,,

    1. How will she feed the hungry here in the US when over 1.4 million children go hungry?
    2. How would she have handled the Syria and Libya unrest in here limited capasity for world problems?
    3. How will she deal with the millions of baby boomers who have put money into the SS for over 40 years?
    4. How will she retrain all the workers here in the uS whos jobs have gone over seas?
    5. How will she upgrade out schools so that our children are cmpetative in the global work force?
    6. How will she deal with China and the backdoor resale of our own products and the disparity between our import and export prodiucts?
    7. How will she be dealing with all of the returning vetrans from Iraq and Afghanistan?
    8. How will she deal with amount of fraud that is being made against the money we Americans are paying to Iraq and Afghanistan?
    9. How will she finance the infrastructure of our country?
    10. How will she deal with the imigration problems we are facing and our borders?

Sarah..... no more gimmickie phrases..... ANSWERS PLEASE............ you are so more knowlegable than our President at this time you surlely must have some answers... CONCRET ANSWERS!

I am a card caring republican, and I respect the position of the Presidency whether I agree with his decisions or not.... but you lady are no stateman...... just look to Hillary Clinton, Angela Merkle, Margaret Hatcher and many others........ for guidance on how to be a stateman............

SarahPAC...said the predictions are "intended to mislead the American people" and "fuel the 24 hour news cycle."

Unlike her stupid bus tour, right? I'm sure that she REALLY meant to just "pop-up" in Iowa at the same time as the straw poll, and she just accidentally "popped-up" just miles away when Romney was announcing his presidential bid. Ya, Sarah has never been one to mislead, right?

Rove hit the bimbo on the pinhead. Please – someone tell Palin that the presidency is not a reality show.

Sarah Palin is the main reason John McCain lost the election in 2008. Why would anyone in the GOP want her to be anywhere near the 2012 ticket? Rove wants her just go away but knows that will only happen when she actually faces voters and is soundly defeated by the other GOP candidates. I still think Rove wants Jeb Bush to run as the "I'm NOT a tea party extremist" to knock out Palin, Perry, and Bachman since the tea party vote would be split between these three tea party darlings none of whom has a chance to win in the general election.

It is very clear that she has a thin skin when she lashes out saying the "liberal media" asked a trick questions like "What did you see today".

I too cannot believe I'm agreeing with Karl Rove on an issue, but he's right on with this one. Palin is an ignorant, spoiled brat, and I wish she'd stay in Alaska; however, I bet the moose she hunts are glad when she's not in the state.

  17. The Real Tom Paine

Palin is right about one thing with Rove: he is desperately afraid of her because she is not what he wants to represent the public face of the GOP. That being said, Palin also has an ego the size of Alaska, and his comments about her are right on the money. They will play nice ( relatively speaking) until after the election. If the GOP loses the presidency and the House, they will pick up right where they left off, each accusing the other of causing Obama to be re-elected and the House to flip. Guess what? They will both be right. Palin will accuse Rove and others of not supporting the nominee enough, and Rove will counter by saying Palin pushed either an candidate who is un-electable or a set of principles that turned away independent voters in droves. Either way, their verbal duals ought to be fun.

Rove is absolutely on target on this one. Palin is sucking the air out of a reasonable election process and candidate selection. Small, but makes you wonder.....how up on current events can be if she maintains a very dated look for herself. That's about all I think about when I see or hear her. :-)

The sad thing about this is that the entire nation knows she's just to dumb to run for President! She's just not PRESIDENTIAL material! Somebody please climb in that pea brain of hers and let us know what she's thinking. Does she honestly think anyone cares about her anymore! We all know she's in it now for the money and publicity! I truly can't stand her because she acts like she's our knight and shining armour comming in to save America! She knows she doesn't stand a chance, yet there she is popping up on her bus in every state and on Fox news! Isn't she embarrassed knowing what this nation thinks about her. Hey Palin, do like McCain did and just go away! We know it's hard for you, but I promise when you crawl back to Alaska no one will ever ask for you again! PLEASE JUST GO!!!!

Well, we can thank Rove for getting another Palin story into the news cycle. If people would just keep their mouths shut about her, she would get so much less attention.

Ironic comments from Palin, when her entire life seems designed to "fuel the 24 hour news cycle." How could she possibly complain about a statement which so accurately describes her sole mission in life? Narcissism is a sad thing to watch.

She needs to run...back to Alaska and find an igloo to stay in until retirement...then go to another igloo and stay there until your comic joke of a political life transitions (hopefully for you) to something with more intelligence.
