Rove levels Palin accusation

(CNN) – Karl Rove accused Sarah Palin of "thin skin" over a message from her political action committee criticizing the speculation surrounding her presidential intentions.

"It is a sign of enormous thin skin if we speculate about her, she gets upset, and I suspect if we didn't speculate about her, she'd be upset and trying to find a way to get us to speculate about her," Rove said Wednesday night of Fox News.

The statement from SarahPAC, released Monday, said the predictions are "intended to mislead the American people" and "fuel the 24 hour news cycle."

The post followed Rove's comments Sunday when he said the release of a web ad and the former Alaska governor's travel schedule are evidence she is more likely than not to jump into the race.

But Rove, a former adviser to President George W. Bush, said if Palin is unhappy with the speculation she should "simply say 'I'm not running.'"

"Instead, every time she pops up in the public eye – like she did on CNN at the Iowa State Fair a number of days ago – she said 'I haven't made a decision,'" Rove said.

The former 2008 vice presidential candidate is expected to address a tea party event in Iowa on September 3. When asked recently in Iowa if she would be ready to join the race by Labor Day, Palin said "I doubt it."

This is probably the first time I've agreed with Karl Rove. He's right – Sarah Palin has a very thin skin. She's also a self-centered idiot who couldn't run an ice cream stand let alone a country. This isn't news.

I'm confident that in the future, her income during this time will be of great interest to the Internal Revenue Service.

She is the woman, after all, who considered "what newspapers do you read" and "who was Paul Revere" to be gotcha questions.

Lust leave Sarah alone, we know how the lame stream media keeps trying to get her with their gotcha questions like whats your name, what do you read and wher do you live ? How come none of the other candidates have to field these tough questions like dear old Sarah

They both have something in common. They are both architects of the demise of this country.

Say what you will about Sarah Palin, but she's very media-savvy. She saw what happened with Donald Trump, and realizes that you can keep the media focused on you FOREVER if you just refuse to commit. Everyone knew that Trump didn't have a chance in hell of getting the Republican nomination, and Palin doesn't either. The second she actually joined the race, her career as a professional Attention Wh0re would be over, since it would become obvious that she has literally no chance of winning.

The only thing Palin is running for ... is another pay-cheque!

Of course she is not going to run. She doesn't like governing. It's all about fame and money for her.

    bassman,
Please don't refer to this quitter as "Governor Palin".... If you quit before your term is half up to get on the gravy train, you have renegged on the oath of office and no longer deserve the title.

What more magnificent entertainment can there be than to watch Karl "Adolph Eichmann" Rove do battle with Sarah "I'll Gladly Pay You Tuesday For a Hamburger Today" Palin!!!

Two absolutely hideous, disgusting human beings throwing mud at each other. Fabulous!

At least Rove gets it. The Republican party is it's own worst enemy. They keep their best candidates out of the general elections by defeating them in their own primaries– Romney is the only candidate that has a chance to get Democrat votes in 2012, yet he might not get the GOP nomination because he's not radical enough.

There is no way she will run and give up her million dollar pay check from Fox. If anything, she probably would like to see Obama re-elected so that she can continue her attacks. Imagine how marginalized she would be if a Republican was elected.

If the Republicans are so stupid to actually run Palin as a presidential candidate, Obama will certainly win. I don't like Obama's policies, but I would really hate to think I'd have to chose between Palin and Obama.

  15. Palin Power

Behold our next and greatest President Sarah Palin. When Palin becomes POTUS she will PURGE and ROOT OUT all the corruption OUT of our govt and PURIFY the GOP of the taint of the Bush family, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rove. Karl Rove will be completely powerless and lose all of his influence.

I've never 'mis-underestimated' Rove. It's not for nothing Rove's been called Bush's brain.

Rove knows quite well that Obama is in for a 2nd term. He is unhappy with the present offerings of the GOP.
Elections are NOT won on hubris, and GOP offers little else.

The only serious candidate worth looking is Huntsman. He is polished, balanced, has foreign & public policy experience.

But the GOP (and the Tea Party) can never nominate him. They would choose a Perry or a Bachman any day over decent candidates like Huntsman.

Huntsman would be a serious challenge to Obama... but it ain't going to happen.

IF she can't make a decision on running......how is she going to make a decision on real national matters. It is more proftiable for her to continue this farce of political run than to actually run.

So the statement comes from her PAC (Political Action Committee) and she is traveling around the country on a bus spewing political BS but somehow it is "gotcha journalism" to speculate that she might run for office? That sounds dumb even when considering the source.

If she's such a great leader, when is the dithering coward Palin going to "man-up" and announce her candidacy for President?

Palin versus Rove. Can it get any better than this. I just cancelled my reservations to Thursday Night Mud Wrestling at the Pub. Ms. Palin never had any intention of running. she may not have a clue when it comes to the issues of the world but she is smart enough to know that there are enough suckers out there to buy her books –pay to hear her speak –watch her reality shows. All she needs to do is exactly what she is doing....stay in thespotlight and milk this "will she or won't she" for as much as it's worth.

Sooner or later she will tell us that after very serious consideration – she has decided not to run and announce her new show: Killing Whales for Fun and Profit.

Rove has her 'pegged'. In the longer term, once she announces she's not running, she becomes less relevant. Sarah's fighting to keep her Fox paycheck. As her leverage decreases, Ailes will start thinking twice about paying her the big bucks. If she doesn't run and if the Tea Party gets trounced in the nationals, Sarah and her ideology become a thing of history. That's assuming News Corp can survive the latest revelations about hacking 9/11 survivors.
If News Corp falls, Sarah isn't the only one who will be looking for a paycheck. From Chris Wallace down, all of those 'Foxified' personalities will be struggling to find jobs at real news operations.
