it doesn't really matter....whatever happens the Republicans will blame Obama anyway especially if it's bad. The 2012ers like Romney and Bachmann are probably trying to come up with a way to blame him for the earthquake less know the hurricane.

I'm sure he is going to tell us that the hurricane is GWB's fault.

I wonder if he will tell Americans that Eric Cantor and the republicans refuse to give hurricane victims any government help unless they can agree to make cuts elsewhere.

Be careful what you say Mr. President, the GOP "Festival of Clowns", ohterwise known as the GOP candidates for president 15 months from now, will be all over whatever you say. probably even blaming the existense and track of the hurricane on you and liberal policies and that it could have been prevented if you had not gone on vacation.

I hope he asks the Republican Governors in states in the path of Irene to write him a letter on why the U.S. government should spend ANY of our money, since Republicans feel ALL government spending related to PEOPLE is evil,. on the disaster Irene wreaks on their states. These Republicans hypocrites will be screaming for "unpaid for" government fiuds, for FEMA they wanted to eliminate as "unneeded", and use of the military to maintain order.
President Obama is a real leader who cares about ALL Americans and does what is right, decent, and common sense,. He will send all the help these Republican states needs despite their constant slander, hate, lies, and racism these Republicans show him. He is a good and decent man with real values and he will act with character and integrity -unlike those in the Republican Party, Republicans – what a joke.
I wonder how many CORPORATIONS – like the oil companies and the Koch brothers who run the Republican Party – will show up to help the PEOPLE in these Republican states or even send a nickel to help??? Republicans stand for and with the wrong groups. Corporations care NOTHING about America – only what profits they can make off abusing us. Job creators? Really?? Where are those jobs exactly?
Want to save America from real disaster – natural and man-made – remove ALL Republicans from office in 2012 so America can REALLT recover under President Obama's job plans and economic recovery plans Republicans have blocked for 2 years.

I am surprised that someone like Sarah Palin hasn't gone on FoxNews and blamed Obama for the upcoming hurricane and the earthquake. We all know had he NOT gone on vacation none of this would have happened.

I hope he announces that all those non-moderate, extreme rightwing, Obama-Haters – – the ones always yammering on about " BIG GOVERNMENT" or "WE CAN`T AFFORD `ENTITLEMENT` SPENDING" – – will not receive a single dime of post hurricanne recovery aid.

Of course, he`s too magnanimous to do this, but if he did, I`d have his back.

No Dennis why should he tells so??? I wish he will tell us what I heard this morning passingby school kids singing: "Irene, Irene, go away, you better come back another time, may be a thousand years to come!"!. It really made me laugh a lot!

Okay seriously? With danger and damage imminent and people's lives at stake, we're going to play the "it's their fault" card? Time to put away the pettiness I think and focus on the bigger and more immediate problems at hand–none of which falls into the political category.

Beverly I enjoy reading your posts.
Our President, even on a supposed vacation, is still on top of things and being proactive. If i understood correctly he's already declared certain parts of North Carolina a federal disaster area in order to facilitate and expedite the funds that the state might need to rebuild.
I am so in agreement with you about getting a letter from these lying, ungrateful, two-faced hypocritical governors who will benefit fro any and all emergency funds that the GOVERNMENT might give them.
