Bachmann memoir due this fall

(CNN) – She's a congresswoman, presidential candidate and now author.

Michele Bachmann is publishing a memoir scheduled for release this November according to Sentinel, a conservative imprint of Penguin Group publishing.

Sentinel released a statement Monday saying the memoir will, "share previously untold stories about her life outside of politics, including her roles as a tax attorney, a wife, a mother of five and a foster mother of 23. She will describe her leap into local politics and her unique path to national prominence, as well as her vision for America's future."

The release also said Bachmann will not receive any advance against royalties, citing rules in the House of Representatives.

Bachmann isn't the only candidate coming out with a memoir this fall, a common practice among White House hopefuls. Republican Herman Cain is also set to release his own title in October. Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney released one in February.

Sentinel said the book is currently untitled and is scheduled to go on sale nationwide November 21, a little less than a year before the 2012 election.

...and that will end the seeking of office when she discovers, as Princess Sarah of Palin did, that "thars gold in them thar buks."

I wonder who's writing it for her.

I'll wait for Bachmann's press secretary to pass out the corrections and tell us what she really meant to write.

A memoir about what? Mistakes made in public? Whacky ideas like investigating the patriotism of members of Congress? Stupid, inappropriate jokes about hurricanes and God in the face of a disaster? She and her husband being heavily subsidized by "Big Government"? How to be an air-head in 10 easy steps? I know I am going to wake up and this woman is Kramer's squeeze on Seinfeld, where everyone was a narcissist.

Running for POTUS is very lucrative. What does that freekin tell you?

If you are not outraged, then you are not paying attention.

And for anyone who wants to blabber about Obama writing books: (a) he didn't do so right in the middle of trying to convince the country he should be POTUS , thereby proving he was simply trying to cash in on the campaign and use it as a couple hundred page advertisement and (b) he actually had something interesting to talk about...what the hell is Bachman going to write about...how she and her family milks the gov't for farm subsidies, health care money for fake "pray away the gay" treatment, etc.? I sure hope she includes a whole chapter on all the things "God" told her directly...like "run for POTUS MIchele...I'm sending an easrtquake and a hurricane to the heathen northeast to punish them....only you can save America from the non-christian dark people."

Hopefully, Bachmann's memoir will answer questions she doesn't want to answer from the mainstream media. Questions like if she believes a person can change their sexuality and if the government should pay for it. She has no problems taking money from the government but condemning the government in order to score political points from her tea bagging following. America wants to know Michelle!

This woman can only talk about her life outside politics, she hasn't done anything since she's been in politics. Bachmann gives me a migraine just like Palin. Pass me a pill Bachmann.

Right on time – another right-wing nutcase with a ghost-written 'memoir' to fill their pocketbook... Let me save you the time (and pain) of reading it: there'll be a picture of her on the cover with an American flag in the background, and her looking steadfastly off into the middle distance. It will have some nonsensical title, like "Michelle Bachmann: An American patriot running rogue". There will be a few chapters describing her normal, white-bread American midwest upbringing, complete with tales of how her parents suffered hardships and how their patriotic spirit and middle-of-the-road protestant faith helped them rise above it all. Then there will be a few apologetic chapters about her rise to political stardom, complete with how the 'lamestream' media picks on her, and how her anti-establishment views are unpopular with 'beltway politicians', but hoards of anonymous (and conveniently unidentifiable) grassroots rubes tell her how much they love her. Then come the 'looking ahead' chapters, where she tells you all about how normal, and middle of the road she is, and how she would enforce her views on the world to rid us of those pesky leftys once and for all. Ride off into the sunset (GOP convention)... Also, the name of the person who actually wrote the book will appear nowhere on the cover, nor will that person have any kind of 'about the author' info anywhere in the book. The campaign will want the redneck apologetics to think she actually wrote the thing. And the universal conclusion will be: That it is a study in avoiding libel laws that isnt fit to wipe your (nose) with.

Question: Dont people usually write their memoirs at the END of their career? Then why havent Palin, Bachmann and O'Donnell gone away yet? Answer: Because it's just an excuse to get all the gullible tea-vangelicals to each run out an buy a copy, funnelling cash into the pockets of these know-nothing, do-nothing, political hacks.

Ghost-written 'memoirs' are a great political vehicle for hacks who cant take talking to the media. In a book like this, every sentence can be carefully written by a ghost-writer, then reviewed by the campaign staff, before being checked off by the so-called 'author'. No one asks tough questions, you dont have to give off-the-cuff responses to difficult questions. There are no embarassing 'hot mike' moments. It's a perfect way to get your skewed ideas out there and make them seem normal.

If it takes 600 pages for the average right-wing rube to come down off their AM-talk-radio high and figure out that what you wrote was just an apologetic hack-job, then you're pretty much assured a free coast to the convention, and maybe a pile of profits to boot.

    It makes my stomach turn.

I HOPE HER MEMOIR won"t include the many, many gaffs she has made since her appearance on the political scene We have heard them all and don't need them repeated..,..not that I'd read them any way. Why are people today so overwhelmed with their own importance that they ALL feel the need to write about themselves. They're not that interesting anyway and the books don't sell very well....No wonder the book stores are going out of business!!!

It seems like everyday some politician or political pundit has written a new book. Who reads all these books these idiots write?

Well there is no doubt that she can write. After all she gets divine thoughts from a higher power. I am so sick of this woman's rantings and her lack of knowledge, especially the fact that there is a separation of church and state in this country.

I like reading a good biography, but I don't engage in recreational reading. Therefore I save my time for someone's biography worth reading.....someone of intelligence that I can learn something from. There is nothing anyone can learn from the current field of radical, hate-filled, off-the-scale extremist republicans that believe they are qualified to run the country. God help us if the voters fall for their phoney rhetoric and hidden agenda.

Anyone else notice the hypocrisy of all these Repubs who made fun of then-candidate Obama for writing a couple books – and are now all "writing" their own autobiographies?

What fool could possibly spent the money it would take to purchase this book. She along with the crazy VP Cheney would sell their soul if that is what it takes to keep their name in the eye of the public

This women is a wack job. How uncool was it to joke about Irene, and the EqrthQuake. I am sure the people that lost family in the Hurricane are not laughing. God show some class, you are not presidental material, never will be. If it comes down between you or Obama, as much as I despise him I would still vote for him over you.

She isn't the only to finance a campaign with proceeds from a book. Why should she be any different? I just wonder who would read that if they are not a right wing nut? I guess that a psychologist looking for something that could lead to a new neurosis out there.
