(CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will celebrate Labor Day in the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire.
The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee will attend a Tea Party Express rally in Manchester on Monday, the same day former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was due to attend the event.
Romney cancelled his scheduled appearance Tuesday, opting instead to join the Tea Party Express national tour Sunday evening before Labor Day. The move made room in his schedule to attend a forum in South Carolina Monday at the invitation of Sen. Jim DeMint – -an invitation he initially declined.
But the tea party group isn’t losing sleep over his schedule shuffle.
“We are always thrilled to have Sarah Palin join one of our rallies,” Tea Party Express chairman Amy Kremer said in a statement released late Tuesday.
“She is an electrifying figure in conservative politics and a hero to the tea party movement.”
Palin has remained mum on whether she’ll jump into the 2012 race for the GOP presidential nomination, but steered her national bus tour to New Hampshire in early June. She attended a clambake in the influential state on the same day Romney formally announced his presidential bid there.
At the time, she called their joint presence in New Hampshire “coincidental.”
And two days before she speaks in New Hampshire, Palin is scheduled to visit Iowa, home of the first-in-the-nation caucus.
The tea party favorite has indicated the end of September is a “drop dead” timeline to make a final decision on whether she will seek the 2012 GOP nomination for president. But her appearances in both Iowa and New Hampshire are sure to stoke speculation about which way that decision will go.

Sarah Palin is in no way capable of running this country. I would take Bachmann over Palin and that's a big stretch. I would leave this country if she was elected.

She's calling it the "drop-dead date" instead of "The Day Palin Quits Again."
This dimwit is not going to run for POTUS. It's too hard of a job without much compensation($$)which she's into. Beside running for president will require her to debate other GOP candidates which definitely expose her intellectual inadequacies and she knows that her chances to win is nil.
The proverb ' the louder the drum the hollower it is" applies perfectly here. She's only doing all of this to get attention and to squeeze out as much publicity and $$ as she can before fading to oblivion.
Labor Day was made a federal holiday under Grover Cleveland, a Democrat. However (from Wikipedia) – "Cleveland was the leader of the pro-business Bourbon Democrats who opposed high tariffs, Free Silver, inflation, imperialism and subsidies to business, farmers or veterans. His battles for political reform and fiscal conservatism made him an icon for American conservatives."
The media should stop covering Palin until she declares her candidacy. By spending time covering her, they take away coverage from those that are actual candidates. Leave Palin alone & force her to declare her intentions!!!!!!!

Palin is running for the Vice-President slot. She will tag on to any Presidential front runner, because she will bring her base to the race.
While I can't see myself voting for Palin, she does do the country a huge service. She is there to show us all just how hateful and intolerant liberals can be.
Palin's a "hero" to the Tea Party movement. Let's see, she struggled and switched colleges to get a degree. She quit before fulfilling a term of office. She did not impress the importance of education or her alleged Christian morality on her daughter – which isn't surprising since she was pregnant when married herself. And her knowledge of the U.S. government and world affairs is clearly substandard. Yeah, I guess that would make her a Tea Party hero!
If the Dem Congress wouldn't give her a hissy-fit, she'd do a fine job. She's smarter than Bush, more trustworthy than Obama, and would be prettier than any President I can think of, especially Lincoln. Even Reagan. Sigh... that's the problem. I couldn't take 4 years of the left going bananas and slinging mud at her. I just want to hold her in my arms and protect her. Sigh...

Just thinking out loud... Has anyone stopped to think that Sarah may avoid the primaries all together, and enter the race 'after' primary season as a Tea Party or independent candidate? Quite an interesting thought. She can avoid the muttle of campaign tours and inter-party debates. If so, she will split the conservative/republican/tea party vote, so I'm thinking Obama needs to write her a check – for getting him re-elected.

Attention all GOP Candidates: Do not fall for the "Palin Will Help You" bologna. Do not ask this woman to be your VP Candidate. Call John McCain and ask him how much this airhead helped his campaign. Sarah Palin is nothing more than a distraction, and of course, campaign fuel for the Democrats.

Sarah will milk this for all the $$$ she can get. I think the main reason she keeps running around with her MADD (Media Attention Deficit Disorder) is because she is hoping that whoever becomes the GOP nominee (which won't be her), they will choose her as their VP candidate. She can't run for president – she knows as well as we do she has no substance or brains. At least for VP, she only has to debate once. So don't be surprised if you see a Perry/Palin ticket.
