It's showtime for Rick Perry

Los Angeles (CNN) - It is fitting that Rick Perry will take the stage in his first presidential debate just a short drive from Hollywood.

After a quick and relatively easy ride to the top of the GOP field in less than a month, the Texas governor now has to perform. And for many conservatives, the Reagan Presidential Library is a solid scene-setter for a classic California western. Make that a wild west shootout for Perry, who will probably see attacks coming from all sides.

    Fun Parry Facts for Today:

TX wildfires have burned approximately 2.5 million acres in TX over the past 300 days.

In the budget Parry is about to sign, Texas Forest Service will face almost $34 million in budget cuts over the next 2 years, roughly a third of the agency’s total budget.

Obama has offered TX 26 different kinds of federal aid to help combat the wildfires and those suffering from the damage they have caused.

Parry and the TX continue to scream wildly (pun intended) that FEMA is not doing enough and that Obama is "waging a war on TX."

2 + 2 = 4...no matter how much spin you try to put on it, no matter how many times you repeat the lie that it's really 5, and no matter how much the MSM tries to sweep the facts under the rug to generate better ad revenue.

Break a leg Rick....literally. Here's a big difference between democrats and republicans. If president obama would have stayed in Martha's Vineyard while Hurricane Irene slammed the east coast, he would have have scrutinized all the way up to election day. On the other hand, Texas is up in flames and Gov. Yeehaw is leaving his responsibility behind so he can have a debate. IOKIYAR. Do as I say, not as I do is the republican montra.

""With eight or nine people on the stage and little time for follow-up questions, he will be able to stick to bumper-sticker themes," Jillson said."

Not to mention the "fat girl effect." You know...that whole thing where the average girl always hangs out with a fat girl to make herself look prettier? Yeah, well, except here it's being done with varying degrees of ideological sociopathy. Santorum adn Bachman are sooooo the fat girls to Parry's and Romney's average.

Gov. Huntsman is the only presidential candidate that is smart enough to win the presidency and has the morals and ethics to NOT cause further hatred of this country by radicals all over the mid-east. Of course, it will turn off the redneck hicks that wear their ignorance like a badge of honor.

Perry and Christie (not running) are bullying loud-mouths.

Mitt Romney made his money disassembling US corporations and shipping jobs overseas.

    Michelle is a nut.

I hate this Immoral idiot, in 1989 he changed the parties like crazy, now telling. Where is the guarantee that he will not change his word? Where is the guarantee that he will not secede Texas from Union. Did he ever recite pledge of Allegiance....? what a ruthless bastard....

Go Perry! Please get rid of Romney and Bitchmann once and for all. Then, I'll focus on Obama's RE-election bid courtesy of you.

Although I won't be watching, I think Perry is going to surprise people with his answers tonight. We all know he's not too bright – but given the current crop of "potentials" he looks like Einstein.

Finally the American people will hear from someone how actually has experience with creating jobs, running a business or making payroll or a budget. Just shows the vast difference between the Republican field of candidates who are or have been governors and run a government versus the teleprompter president who reads speeches.

I wonder who will end looking like the adult in the room. If I had to make a prediction, the safe bet would be Romney, but smart money is on Cain or Paul.

"Question 3: What time did you get up this a.m.?
    Answer: Bash Obama"

Haha..yeah...they'd probably say something completely off the wall like "I get up at 3 a.m. just to practice for "The Phonecall"...unlike Obama."

"Moderator: What are YOUR plans? We already know you don't approve of Obama's handling of the country so show us what you would do for the country."

If you think the moderators for a contemporary major MSM "debate" will EVER put candidates on the spot and expect an answer, instead of smiling like child molesters as the GOP candidates blather hollow talking points, regurgitate focus-group tested catch phrases, avoid answering direct questinos and bash Obama, then you're crazier than the GOP's candidates. This whole "debate" farce is a nothing more than a really long, boring and infuriating television commercial.

  19. The Greedy Old Pigs have declared class war on US!

The two questions no corporate-owned moderator will ever ask at these phony "debates":

#1: It is quite clear from history that tax breaks for the top earners do not produce jobs. Do you admit that is a correct statement of history?

#2: What sacrifices are you calling on the business and the wealthy to make now that the rest of America have been forced to sacrifice?
