
(CNN) – After a residency dispute, former Olympian Carl Lewis is officially back on the ballot in a New Jersey state senate race, according to a federal appeals court.
New Jersey Lt. Gov. and Secretary of State Kim Guadagno ruled in April that Lewis was ineligible for the race because he failed to meet state residency requirements.

A bit more clarity please : the REPUBLICAN Lt. Governor and Secretary of State made this ruling against Democrat Lewis which has been over turned. It`s too bad that elected GOP officials were unable to put partisanship aside and decide this on its merits. I guess citizens can NEVER have any faith that Republican officeholders are not trying to GAME THE SYSTEM.
