(CNN) - Former U.S. Sen. Charles Percy, a prominent Illinois Republican who served in the Senate for nearly 20 years and became chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, died Saturday, said a spokesman for Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a relative. He was 91.
Percy, a one-time rising star in the Republican Party who was once considered a potential presidential candidate, was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1966 and served until 1985.
Oh! sorry, rest in peace!
Condolences to the Percy family, don't know much about him but if he was a Republican than its safe to say that he was a man of integrity, strong moral character, and truly cared about others.
Since he was a Republican almost every Democrat in America will celebrate his death, only wishing it would have been sooner, as well over 80% of Democrats in America want nothing more than to have every Republican die, that wish of harm and even death on your political opposition is at the core of the Democrat party and the Democrat voter.
The comments from the Democrats here will be very telling, a being that can hate at this level is always 100% of the time without a single exception a Democrat, not a single Republican has that ability to hate like that. I suggest you spend a week in ultra blue and red America, drive on the roads and walk down the street at 1am. No spin no deception, just straight up undeniable truth and facts between Democrats and Republicans.
He was real American man and patriot.
He will be remembered as honor American.
Didn't know you, but RIP sir, and thank you for your service. I'm sure today's GOP was as much of an embarrassment to you as it is to the rest of us sane American patriots.
