(CNN) – Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul received some celebrity love, care of Vince Vaughn Friday.
The actor and comedian introduced the Texas congressman at the Liberty Political Action Conference in Reno, Nevada.
"Vince is a great guy who loves Liberty," Paul campaign chairman Jesse Benton told CNN. "Dr. Paul is proud to have his friendship and support."
According to Paul's website, Vaughn invited Paul and his wife to the premiere of his 2009 film "Couples Retreat," and Vaughn endorsed Paul's 2009 book "End the Fed."
Vaughn is best known for starring roles in such films as "Wedding Crashers" and "Old School."

Really? Did Ths Benton character actually capitalize "Liberty"? How cute. I guess that's supposed to mean Rondroid has a lock on a special, exrta important kind of "Liberty" that only he can provide by delivering us into the ideological hands of the prophet Ayn Rand? "Special" is right. Methinks its way past time for Rondroid's Namenda.
I never cared much for Vince's movies - and I have even less reason to watch them now.
Guys like Vince and Ron Paul talk about "freedom" and "liberty," but you know what? It takes more than bit*hing about your taxes to be a "patriot." Ron and Vince are paper "patriots" that are clearly concerned about only themselves.

It should be "Vince Vaughn Loves Ron Paul." The heart graphic was used by designer Milton Glaser to represent the word "Loves" in the "I Love NY" slogan. It is not to be said as the misguided verb "hearts."
