(CNN) - CNN fact checked some of the claims made at Thursday night's Republican presidential debate in Orlando. Read the findings below.
Truth Squad: Is Perry solidly behind Arizona's immigration law?
Truth Squad: Did Obama destroy the economy?
Truth Squad: Did Obama criticize Israel in U.N. address?
Truth Squad: Can you just sit around, collect unemployment?
Truth Squad: Do illegal immigrants get tuition discount?
Truth Squad: Did Bachmann's HPV vaccination claim ring true?

When have the the repugs ever told the truth a out this economy; they say the stimulus didn't work and the country is worst off; the stimulus took a 8 hundred thousand job lost a month, and turn it into a 21 month straight private sector job growth, it took a 7000 stock market crash and turned it to an 11000 stock market gain, it took a economy retracting at 9 percent to a 5 percent by the end of 2009. It took the financial wold from the debt of the abyss to the most successful they have ever been.
Let's see. . . . We have the little woman (both in stature and brain matter), the token black, the millionaire I found religion and I pray for water every day (still waiting) secessionist, the flip flopping my job plan is to fire American workers and send their jobs overseas millionare, the old guy trying to return the country to pre civil rights era, the arms to Iran dealer, the no heart cheater, the big tooth christian with wayn too many kids and a complete unknown.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen the teatards in all theif splendor. I wonder if they can see their image in a mirror!
It has always been best to have a lie detector hooked up to any Republican that is speaking. These debates would be much better if the candidates were held to "fact check" panel after every debate and then they would be held accountable for lying in public. Candidates like Bachmann should not be allowed to have the bulk of her statements and campaign based on lies. Perry and Romney also have a great deal of lies that they should have to answer to but it seems like lying is acceptable in the GOP and it is sickening when the lies outweigh the truth
A member of the GOP telling the truth –
That's a contradiction in terms.
In the old days, we quoted Mark Twain saying, "There are lies, damn lies and statistics." Now we say, "There are lies, damn lies and Republican campaign claims."
The only chance these guys have is with Huntsman. I am a progressive Dem from Utah! Huntsman would run the office right down the middle! It's not working for Obama because the extreme right will not let him do anything. Maybe a guy from the GOP that governs from the middle would succeed! Huntsman is a lot more progressive than anyone on the stage!
Full disclosure: In 2008, I didn't honestly mind McCain so much. He was centrist enough that, while I voted Obama, I wouldn't have been devastated had McCain won (Aside from the fact Palin was awful, but she would've resigned two or three months in to do book tours anyway).
This time, though, the idea of any one of these candidates running the country terrifies me.
What, no story on the GOP crowd yet again displaying its rampant misanthropy and arrogant belief in their self-declared moral superiority by booing a gay soldier serving our country at risk to his own life and limb?
Another debate is behind us. We should invite these people back, after every debate, to appear before a fact finding panel. Present them with the findings, and let them defend themselves. The voters deserve to be informed. This should happen all the way through the last presidential debate.
"It has always been best to have a lie detector hooked up to any Republican that is speaking."
Nah. The problem with that is that a lie detector only detects whether the person's body is giving almost imperceptible signals that indicate the person knows they are telling an untruth. Some of these GOP/Teatroll imbeciles ACTUALLY BELIEVE most of the ideological nonsense dribbling out of their mouths like so much baby vomit. That's far more dangerous.
Truth and the GOP? Not recently, anyway.
Truth Squad this.
Do personal tax cuts for the wealthiest create jobs?
No. They have always created s sustained feeding frenzy in the markets, which has always been followed by a recession of an even longer duration. Bush Tax Cut frenzy lasted for 6 six years. This "Great Recession" will last at least double that.
The right-wing extremists are a JOKE!! They are the laughing stock of the entire civilized world!! Vote for ME for President of the USA!! I can put this nation of ours on the proper trajection by raising taxes on ALL those HUGE Corporations that see it fit to outsource all our jobs overseas. I would raise taxes on those corporations (i.e. – American Express, GE, IBM, etc.) to 50% or higher for their outsourcing and SOLELY provide them with a tax break when they bring our jobs back home.
