"That's going to make a difference right away," the president told BET network. "It's estimated that that would grow the economy by an extra 2%, put a 1.9 million people back to work. Those aren't our estimates. Those are independent estimates. So that could make a difference."

This is a wonerfull idea. Im sick of some people saying well these are only temporary jobs bla bla bla.... well a temporary job is better then no job. Sure these jobs might not be dream jobs but can we afford to be picky? These are not jobs at taco bell either. Why not pass this jobs bill? if it doesnt work then hold Obama accountable. Im a supporter & im saying blame him if this doesnt work but im confident that it would. What do we have to loose? everytime we have been a resession it took spending of one form or another to bring us out of it. I dont see why people other then republicans would oppose this. WHAT DO WE HAVE TO LOOSE?
Has the bill been submitted yet?
Republicans have only one goal and that's to win in 2012. They will never, ever, ever agree to anything that they fear will succeed, no matter how much damage they do to the nation. They serve corporate interests and will dismantle Social Security to get their hands on the $2.6 trillion surplus allocated to those who paid into the system for decades. They use religion and fear to gain support from people whose interest they do not serve.
Then start the process right the way. We will support anyone who tirelessly and selflessly to promote employment for the unemployed for this country. We support you, President Obama, this term and next term!
Pass the bill! doing nothing as some gop endorse is making matters worse!
That's yet another lie. Pardon me, I have lost count of the continuous stream of lies, from Obama.
Of course the jobs bill will have immediate results. That is exactly why the Republicans are against it, they do not want to give the President any sort of victory. Republicans care little for the average American as is abundantly clear by their actions and rhetoric.
That's his talking.
