Chris Christie axes Jersey Shore tax credit

New York (CNNMoney) - Hey Snooki, you're not welcome on the Jersey Shore.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie cut $420,000 in tax credits Monday that would have gone to 495 Productions, the company responsible for bringing the escapades of "Pauly D" and "The Situation" to the masses via MTV.

    if they joined up with some off-shore oil drilling company, they'd get a subsidy. That's how it works.

    If the law allows it, then it can be done. I don't like the show or the idiocy of the people on it, but the law is the law. It would be nice if MTV noted where these people are from. When they do, it will be clear that they aren't from NJ.
