Trump praises Romney, blasts DNC ad

Washington (CNN) – Donald Trump emerged from his Monday afternoon sit-down with Mitt Romney more at ease with the GOP candidate's take on views they share: China's predominance in the global economy and OPEC's proclivities to raise the price of oil as a measure to offset U.S. economic gains.

"We hit it off really well, better than I had anticipated," Trump said Monday on CNN's "The Situation Room."

When asked by CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer about the Democratic National Committee's ad released Monday, which portrayed Trump and Romney as out-of-touch moneymen who favor wealthy Americans and big corporations, Trump twice said: "I thought it was amateur night."

Not only did Trump think the ad was ineffective, he also took note to the DNC calling America competitive - a claim he emphatically refutes.

"They talk about keeping America competitive. We're not competitive. That's the problem. We're not competitive at all," Trump said. "The world is laughing at us."

Trump went on to stress the significance of next year's general election.

"I think it's extremely important that the right candidate go against President Obama and win," Trump explained. "This election is vital."

The only reason the world is laughing at us is because we have you, Mr. Trump, opening your mouth.

Actually, the whole world is laughing at Trump. He still can't get over that President Obama preempted his moronic Apprentice program to announce killing Osama Bin Ladin. Of course their were a lot of sad faces in this red state when Obama killed Bin Ladin as well-it looked like a lot of people had lost their best friend.

How typical of a neo-con to deny the most fundamental truth about his own personality! Goebbels would be proud.

Wonder what Mr combover will say when he sees Romney's birth certificate and realizes that "Mitt" isn't his first name? Will he demand an investigation?

Why is Donald Trump even still politically important? He dropped out of the GOP race and didn't even attempt to run. He's not a benefit to either party.

It is more likely the world is laughing at Trump moreso than "us" – for his tactics for self importance.

You can tell a lot about a person by the company they keep.

Mitt Romney (whom I respect even if I don't necessarily like) "hits it off" with Donald (the Birther) Trump.

Trump has made and lost billions by taking advantage of people's weaknesses.

New Flash MItt – paling around with Trump does NOT make you look presidential.

This past spring Donald Trump clearly demonstrated that he has dark streak of racial hatred toward black Americans. Some of his comments were most offensive to all black Americans because Trump's words echoed times of the recent past when a black man had to be able to show his credentials on demand. Demanding birth certificates, college transcripts, and graduate papers with an air of scorn that was simply disgusting coming from anyone, much less someone alledgedely considering a run for President. What was most disturbing about Trump's words is how deeply and widely his voice resonated with people in this country.

When you swing in the match, you try and knock the opponent off their feet, or at least make their head spin. Trump hasn't the power to impact a cube of soft butter.

I was told that Romney is contemplating having Trump as a running mate. I don't be lieve it. It would be tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber. Trump has diarrhea of the mouth and s__t for brains. Romeny at least tthinks before he's told what to say. Trump is a mixture of Sara Palin and Michelle Bachmann in a business suit. The light is on but there is no one at home. The average Republican can be very kind but they can also be very stupid. I pray that stupidity won't win out.

The fact that Republican wanna bees seek out Trump's blessings is laughable. How many times has Trump declared bankruptcy now? How many deals and developments has be backed out of leaving others stranded. Trump's father made this fortune, not Trump; in fact, Trump has almost lost it several times. Trump could not even win the war of casinos with the wimp Merve Griffin. Come on Tea Baggers, READ. You can do better than this!!

What is really vital is that CNN stop giving this fat mouthed fool air time. You have to check him out, just like Christie he really is obese. In other words neither of them can even take care of their own health let alone have anything meaningful to say about the health of the nation. Once again we see republican/tparty hypocricy at work – they talk personal responsibility for other but they have none for themself.

Yes, Donald, the world is laughing at us. People like you and Mr. Romney have broken up American companies and shipped the jobs to overseas. Those countries have laws preventing the same thing happening there. So, the joke is on us, ha, ha! Now sit down and shut up!

What is really amateur night is Trump commenting on the ad. Just gives it more press and gets more eyeballs on it, politics 101.

  22. ReallY!!?

To mock the Donald about his bankruptcies while Obama is sending our country into bankruptcy, just shows how idiotic and moronic you liberals really are. Good grief. At least Donald know what works and what does not, created jobs, ran numerous businesses and knows how the economy works. Can't say the same for Obama now can we?

He had bankruptcies? Well he must know how to turn things around in his favor & is doing something right b/c he certainly does not look bankrupt at all!. We could use someone like that right now on this economy. Clearly Obama has no clue how to turn things around.

  23. Keeping it Real

Democrats continue their policy of the blame game. They have nothing to campaign on, their ranks azre crumbling week by week and this is the best they can do? The Republicans could easily use the same video against Obama who's done nothing to help the lower/middle class in jobs. He supports the wealthy union bosses and is more than happy to spend your tax money to pay off corporate campaign supporters; Has no problem buying assault rifles for Mexican cartels; Wants to force everyone to buy the govt insurance; Defines green jobs as anyone who rides a buss or walks to work. And all he offers is the same old tax and spend policies.

Why????? Why is Trump relevant? Why do theses GOPers meet him and add fire to his already flaming ID. Is Trump's endorsement now that big of a deal that these so-called leaders must bow and genuflect for his approval? Go Obama!
