(CNN) - A decision on the final date for the South Carolina GOP presidential primary will be delayed until the state of Florida announces whether it will break from the Republican Party and schedule it's primary on January 31, 2012.
In a Thursday announcement, state officials pledged to keep their status as the first southern state to vote in the primary and caucus calendar.

Let's see if the RNC follows through on their threat to Florida that half of their delegates will be revoked if the state changes its' primary date to Jan or Feb.
They need to go to regional primaries. Sure makes sense to me and it would stop this sort of thing. This is starting to look like herding cats!

If they had any sense of personal values and morals, then they would respect the rules and the traditional values that the primary system represents.
Should the GOP be more concerned with the job situation rather than when each state holds their primaries. This party has got its priority in the wrong order.
Of course what do you expect of party that supports funding $53M for runway to nowhere to go with Alaska’s bridge to nowhere. Hundreds of thousands of tax dollars for squirrel sanctuary and simulators and millions for recreational area on a river here in Georgia. Teachers laid off in Texas but hey as long as Formula One gets it millions. But hey what the heck our kids don’t need to read to watch a car race. This party doesn’t even follow its own platform of “fiscal responsibility?
