Dems focus on Spanish speakers in new ad

(CNN) - Democrats are looking to reach the key Hispanic demographic through a new Spanish-language television ad that slams Republicans for their resistance to President Barack Obama’s jobs bill.

The 30-second spot, titled "Siempre Dicen No” ("Always Say No"), was produced by the Democratic National Committee and will begin airing this weekend in Denver and Las Vegas - cities in two key battleground states that Obama won in 2008 and is looking to win again in 2012. Both have large Hispanic populations.

Gingrich: I'll need two terms to implement new 'Contract with America'

Des Moines, Iowa (CNN) - On Thursday, just over 17-years after he unveiled the first "Contract with America," former House Speaker Newt Gingrich officially proposed another campaign contract.

Flanked by two huge banners emblazoned with the title "21st Century Contract with America," Gingrich stood alone on stage and spoke to insurance company employees in Des Moines, Iowa. If he is elected president, Gingrich said, he'd immediately begin to act on the new campaign contract. But said he would need two full presidential terms to fully implement it.

Tracker fear and loathing in Virginia senate race

Washington (CNN) - Tracking trackers is the order of the day in the Virginia senate race as Republican George Allen runs to recapture the seat he lost in 2006, arguably as a result of the moment that made trackers famous.

Virginia Democrats claim the former governor and senator has something to hide. Meanwhile, Allen's team says it's "disappointing, but not surprising" that Democrats are using the tactic of sending trackers to his events, forcing them to remove them.
