(CNN) - Sarah Palin, ending months of speculation, said Wednesday she will not run for president, either as a Republican or third-party candidate.
"This has been prayerfully considered," the former Alaska governor said on the Mark Levin radio program. "I can be on the right path without being a candidate."

I can certainly respect the way she came to her decision. While I agree with many of her positions, I question how effective she can be against Obama after years of being painted in wide spectrum of negative shades by the media. Ask a teenager about Palin and they can tell you all about the rumors, few know anything about her actual positions. I have little doubt that translates right over to most people of voting age...

What I find so troublesome is that she thinks she has the ability and the skills required to be President. Not only is she kidding herself, her ego is getting in the way of rational thought. Her 15 minutes of fame are up. She needs to gracefully just go away, but she won't. No one is more impressed with Sarah Palin then Sarah Palin.
She's milked it for all it was worth, hopfully she'll fade into insignificance as she should have done a long time ago. Now that the field is set let the kookiness begin. How sad are these republican candidates, it almost seems as if the party doesn't want to win, or thinks it can't.
Good, if she had the GOP might as well have handed Obama a second term.

Palin is simply a profiteer who caught a lottery strike when McCain foolishly selected her. She resigned as Governor of Alaska, not as she said, but rather to collect the easy money that being a tabloid personality can pull in. She is making millions doing nothing. Why give up being a high-paid talking head? She couldn’t win anyway. She is a divisive personality who has zero grasp on anything of substance.
One right decision made by a wrong person.
I think most knew she was never going to run, as there is no way she could win. She milked all she could out of delaying her announcement. I feel sorry for all the people she duped and took money from.

Everyone knew she wasn't running. The country is better off that she is not.

Thank goodness. I like her, but she is not what the GOP needs. Her folksiness is cute and all, but I want a leader with answers... someone who has more than just bravery and spunk, but ideas and experience.
Did anyone really think she would? And what does she do with the money she's collected from supporters. Run to the bank? She was just out to make money and she's been very successful. There are a lot of very ignorant stupid people in this country. That is one reason we are in the mess we are in. Putting the tea baggers in congress was a bad idea.
Well, I guess the choices for the republican party could have gotten lower if Sarah would have joined, but then she would've quit. She is looking for another reality show.
She had the sense to know it would be a waste of time. Nobody in their right mind would donate money or vote for this loon. Her and Todd need to go back to Alaska and stay there.
So, Tea Partier Sarah Palin isn't running. Who will her supporters support now? Ron Paul. Why? Palin did say nice things about Paul, and does understand economics to a point. She even said she could support him. I have been supporting Paul all along because he is does understand economics, is aware of the root cause of the country's economic problems (high taxes and bad monetary policy) and acknowledges that Bush was as much to blame as Obama.
A lot to do about nothing...her own party didn't want her to make a run.
She is still a major King Maker, Power Broker, and Formidable Adversary.
Although she would definately be the best looking President ever, she is a quitter. She quit on the State of Alaska and would probably quit on the country. Let her stick to her reality shows.
Who cares, her day in sun has been over for awhile now. She needs to go back to Alaska and stay there..
