Tweet of the Day: Giffords returning to Washington

(CNN) - Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona will make her second trip to Washington since being gravely wounded in a mass shooting in January.

The Democratic congresswoman will attend a military retirement service for her husband, astronaut and Navy captain Mark Kelly, at the White House on Thursday, with no plans to stop by Capitol Hill.

Gaby really needs to resign. The people of her state, are not getting the representation they are supposed to be getting, even though it is not Gaby's fault.

Michele Bachmann needs to resign. She did not make a single vote in the house during the month of September. While she was cutting meat in an Iowa meat market, others were voting on veterans benefits. The people of District 6 in MN are getting no teabagger representation. Rep. Giffords may have an excuse, but Bachmann does not.

the young man who shot giffords was inspired by Sara Palin and the republicans. there told him to "target" candidates.
repubilicans are bad people. they are certaintly not leaders. I wonder what dangerous words Palin will put forth this
    next presidential campaign.

What exactly does Michele Bachmann have anything to do with Gabrielle Giffords making another trip to Washington? I don't see Bachmann's name anywhere. Granted, Bachmann isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, but if you're going to post a comment – at least keep it relevent to the article itself.

Does that go for the Republican representative who has missed more votes in the past year because of heart surgery? Or, should we apply that to people who miss too many votes with no excuse at all; like Bachmann who has missed 54% over the past year. Bachmann is exceeded by only 3 people. Giffords, the heart surgery guy, and Boehner, who as Speaker is usually the last person to cast a vote on anything. Most of the time he doesn't have to vote.

    That's so humanitarian of you!

If it were a Republican, you would be insisting that they keep that seat in the R column until and unless they didn't have enough breath to fog a mirror.
