(CNN) – It didn't take long for the zings to begin in the closely watched Massachusetts Senate race between GOP Sen. Scott Brown and leading Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren.
When asked Tuesday at a primary debate how Warren paid for college - noting a nearly nude 1982 Cosmopolitan magazine photo shoot that Brown did to earn money at age 22 - the Democratic candidate fired off: "I kept my clothes on."
Two days later, Brown had one comment about Warren not taking off her clothes.
"Thank God," he said, laughingly, during a radio interview with WZLX in Boston Thursday. "I didn't go to Harvard. I went to the school of hard knocks, and I did whatever I had to do to pay for school."
Brown, who was elected to the Senate in a January 2010 special election, received his degrees from Tufts University and Boston College Law School. Warren graduated from the University of Houston and Rutgers School of Law.
Warren, a Harvard law professor, will face a crowded field of candidates in next year's Democratic Senate primary. She's known for previously serving as a special adviser to President Barack Obama to help develop the recently-formed U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
A poll released Monday showed the two candidates in a statistical dead heat.

Gee, not a loaded statement is it? Everyone has to do what they have to do to make it in this world. I would hope that Brown understands that when he votes in the Senate. I don't know if he shows that with his votes.

I wish they could talk about financial reform..... and preventing the kind of crap that happened in 2008..... and trade policy, not this other stupid stuff.
"I didn't go to Harvard," Brown bragged. Yes, this is considered a plus among the Republican faithful. Being highly educated or going to one of the best schools in the world is disparaged by Republicans. Think about that.
Brown will loose this seat to Elizabeth, you wait and see. This woman is the real deal, so articulate and thoughtful.

Notice that, despite Brown's remark, Elizabeth Warren didn't go to Harvard either. She went to two PUBLIC universities. Mr. Brown, to two PRIVATE ones. Nothing wrong with that! But his comment seems pretty disingenuous.
Well, she was stating the facts. She did keep her clothes on and her dignity and he sold his dignity. Along with all those bank contributions he can be sold to the highest bidder.

Scott Bowen is a clod. God made us in his own image and quite frankly, the naked human body is beautiful. Just because HE can't handle seeing a woman naked doesn't mean the rest of us need be restricted. Brown should keep his negative body issues to himself.

Every time Scott Brown has run for office, his opponent has mocked his photos in Cosmopolitan thirty years ago. It's a strategy that never works, and won't work now. He can certainly be beat, and considering the election is in MA, he has to be considered the underdog. Warren would be better off focusing on policy, and less on pictures he took thirty years ago in a reputable magazine.

Does anyone notice a pattern with GOP candidates? Brown is downplaying his education, Romney downplays then runs from his signature accomplishment as governor ( healthcare), Bachmann can't admit she was quite happy prosecuting tax cheats and then ends up 750 K in debt, Perry downplays and tries to justify taking 17 Billion dollars in stim money to balance a budget he caused to go out of whack, Herman Cain has rarely admitted his education and early career were the result of affirmative action and government loans. Is it just me, or is there an element of lying, spin, and compartmentalizing that go WAY beyond anything we would be allowed to do in the real world?

Who cares what he did as a 22 year old! The important thing is his actions today – believe it or not all of you die hard Democrats and Die-hard Republicans – people can do things – change – grow – & mature. And they can all run around naked at the capital now if that will help them all get to thinking about doing the right thing! Bringing up the Cosmo thing is a NON ISSUE!

thing55- The problem lies in being highly " educated " in government schools that mandate the government agenda be taught and funded by taxpayer dollars so union " teachers " can continue to program the youngsters with a low quality " education " that rarely prepares them for a decent job but manages to perpetuate this scam that's been going on for years. I'm glad I took the chance to educate mine at home and in small private schools. They have all been able to obtain jobs far superior to their peers. Plus, they all see through the liberal lies, best education ever!
Scott Brown must be reading the ticker and seeing all of the demeaning and demonizing remarks democrat liberals make about conservative women. You can see the hypocritical outrage being expressed by these same drug addled people now. Does it not make you marvel at how absolutely hypocritical they are? Just remember as your bankihg fees rise, Elizabeth Warren and Dick Durbin fought for it to happen alsong with the corrupt, inept, incopetent, union toady president. Why does the Ticker not report that in spite of what Obozo says that Mtich McConnell did call for a vote on the Obama Stimulus Robbery for the benefit of the Corrupt Unions Bill and Reid turned it down? I really think Congress should pass it and then maybe we could find some sort of non corrupt media to report its abosolute failure and bankruptcy of the country, but you can only find honest reporting on Fox.
