Ron Paul wins Values Voter straw poll

Washington (CNN) - GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul secured yet another straw poll victory Saturday.

The Texas congressman won 37% of the poll at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, sponsored by the Family Research Council, a social conservative group.

However, not all of those who voted for Paul in the straw poll were necessarily participants in the summit. Family Research Council president Tony Perkins said 600 attendees registered just for Saturday. Paul ended up winning with 732 votes.

Paul has won a handful of straw polls this year, including contests held in California and South Carolina, in addition to a straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February.

Coming in second on Saturday, rising GOP candidate and Georgia businessman Herman Cain took 23% of the vote. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum came in third with 16%.

Two front-runners, Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, placed fourth and sixth, respectively. Perry garnered 8% of the vote, while Romney had 4%.

Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, who touts herself as a strong social conservative and won the much-watched Ames Straw Poll in Iowa, came in fifth, while former House Speaker Newt Gingrich took seventh place.

So? The flake is and has been toast for weeks. The rich secessionist with the racist hunting grounds is done. The mitt is now being attacked for his religious cult from a group who are a worse cult (evangelical christians) and the pizza man brought up the fact that the secessionist is racist and that still didn't get perry any extra votes.
This back to the 50s old guy is not the answer either. The christie double decked knew that he didn't have a chance and we all know that the quitter from AK needed money to pay for her family vacation and to pay her parents for sending out mail (check it out it's true) and that her popularity is pretty much from that handful of fools who keep giving her money for personal use. The kardashian look alike of a daughter said back in June that she was not going to run. She just miled everyone for what her worth is which is nothing!

Ron Paul's values are what DC needs. He doesn't believe in the government defining ANY marriage. If two people (or ten) want to live together and get a tax credit so be it. He wants to legalize drugs. Even Pat Robertson agrees with him on that part. He's a libertarian so the rule goes do whatever you want just don't interfere with the lives of others. How simple is that? There should be no laws restricting our actions in society as long as we don't hurt anyone in the process.
