Palin: Gingrich won the debate

(CNN) - While candidates Mitt Romney and Rick Perry battled it out in the CNN Western Republican Presidential Debate, Sarah Palin said she thought Newt Gingrich took home the winner's belt.

"Everybody could learn from Newt Gingrich and the way - his calm, cool, collected manner," Palin said Tuesday in an interview on Fox News. "He's kind of seen it all before in this political game, if you will."

Palin said the former House Speaker, often described as the most professor-like among the pool of candidates, would "clobber Barack Obama in any debate, any forum that had to do with substance."

The former Alaska governor recently decided against running for president but her endorsement will likely be highly-prized.

Palin said she was disappointed in what she called "the bickering" throughout the debate and called on candidates to offer real solutions.

"We don't want to hear the engagement of the nitpicking and the bickering because that just plays right on into the left handbook as they get ready for the general election debates," Palin said.

But while Palin is singing Gingrich's praises for now, she said she's still looking for "a clear candidate who will rise to the top and be the frontrunner."

"Sometimes conventional wisdom would dictate that he who has the most money, the campaign dollars, wins," Palin said. "I don't want to believe that this is going to be the case this go-around."

Square-head Gingerich couldn't win a debate with my 16 year old daughter – unless he was allowed to avoid answering direct questions – like the moderators always let him do. Gingerich and Palin are of the same delusional world of fox “reality” shows where just because you act self-assured and arrogant when you repeat neo-con lies and deceptions you get a microphone.
It’s a sickness of mindless blather, especially for those who follow them.

I can't believe it, I actually agree with PART of what this opportunits nut case had to say "described as the most professor-like among the pool of candidates" IS AGREE WITH THIS , would "clobber Barack Obama in any debate, any forum that had to do with substance." As ususal she says something stupid. Would Newt be able to debate Obama, sure but clobber, I don't think so.

Newt and Herman showed the most composure of the group. Going toe-to-toe with Obama.... I think Newt would be the better pick between he and Herman. I like Herman but I think Newt has the best shot at representing the conservatives. I wish both would adopt some of Ron Paul's rhetoric....

Let us not forget that the Office of POTUS is too shackling for M$. Palin. Also, she said that Newt could defeat President Obama in a debate....I would say, let us see Newt win the GOP nomination first.

None of those candidates on stage last night want Palin's endorsement. Getting an endorsement from her would be like getting Casey Anthony's endorsement for mother of the year. Palin is a quitter and quitters never win.

An endorsement from Palin is like poison. All we can learn from this, since Palin is almost always 100% wrong, is that somebody else probably won the debate.
