
(CNN) - A new survey of Arizona Republicans indicates that Mitt Romney and Herman Cain are tied at the top in the race for the GOP presidential nomination.
And a Rocky Mountain Poll released Wednesday also indicates that President Barack Obama holds a slight advantage over three possible Republican challengers in hypothetical 2012 general election matchups.

(CNN) – President Barack Obama took his economic relief plan on the road to Colorado Wednesday, highlighting new measures designed to help college graduates manage student loan debt.
One of the president's measures will push up the start date for more favorable terms on a special loan repayment program based on income. Another measure is designed to encourage graduates with two or more kinds of federal loans to consolidate them and get a small break on interest rates.
FULL STORY(CNN) – Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Wednesday expressed his support for a referendum that would curb collective bargaining rights for public employees in Ohio, after he avoided directly weighing in on the battle Tuesday.
"I support question two and Gov. Kasich's effort to restrict collective bargaining in Ohio in the ways he's described," Romney said at an event in Virginia Wednesday. "So I fully support that."

(CNN) - A new poll suggests President Barack Obama has the advantage right now over three of his possible GOP opponents in next year's election in an important battleground state.
According to a Quinnipiac University poll of Ohio voters, Obama holds a four point margin over former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in a hypothetical 2012 general election matchup. The president's 45% to 41% margin over Romney is within the survey's sampling error. The poll indicates that Obama holds a 47% to 39% advantage over businessman and former Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain and has a 47% to 36% lead over Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

Washington (CNN) - Looking straight into the camera for much of his ad, Rick Perry pledges to create two and a half million jobs and touts his Texas record in his first paid commercial buy which began Wednesday.
The spot, part the Texas governor's effort to jump start his languishing Republican presidential bid, will air statewide in Iowa on commercial and cable television.

LOS ANGELES (CNN) - President Barack Obama addressed a broad range of political topics during an appearance on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Tuesday, insisting among other things that he's not spending too much time yet focused on next year's potential GOP campaign rivals.
"I'm going to wait until everybody's voted off the island," Obama joked. "Once they narrow it down to one or two (candidates), I'll start paying attention."
