Durham, New Hampshire (CNN) – Texas Gov. Rick Perry's first television ad in New Hampshire hits the airwaves Wednesday, CNN has learned.
The ad, "I'm a Doer not a Talker," began running in Iowa this week. It features Perry speaking straight into the camera about his jobs record in Texas.
"If you're looking for a slick politician or a guy with great teleprompter skills, we already have that, and he's destroying our economy," Perry says. "I'm a doer, not a talker."
The ad will run on cable and on New Hampshire news station WMUR, said Perry senior adviser Paul Young. He called it "a significant buy" but would not discuss specific figures.
Radio ads will also run statewide.
The ad confronts head-on Perry's struggles at a series of GOP debates, which analysts say have hurt his poll numbers. A CNN/Time/ORC poll from last week put Perry's support in New Hampshire at 4%.
He was in the state Friday to file his paperwork for candidacy in the state's primary and to speak to a conservative group in the state.

He does have some awesome attack ads. If he could speak, and was capable of thought, he would be a good candidate. I know that Rove is doing everything he can to get rid of Herb and Rick.
Did Perry actually pay someone to come up with this? I mean, how lame can a campaign slogan be?
I hope Rick Perry at least got a good deal on a bridge, or something, with it – clause this thing is gonna tank soon.
Sorry, Gov. Perry, but mass prayer is talking, not doing.
If I were a major donor to the Perry campaign, I would be feeling like I am not going to get my money's worth out of that investment. The man has positioned himself to be unelectable.
just an idiot...
if you have not had the pleasure, please look at his 25 minute speech at the Cornerstone Action dinner in NH...he is ABSOLUTELY not a talker! and he is absolutely NOT presidential! if this doesn't sink his campaign, I'm frightened for America.
""If you're looking for a slick politician or a guy with great teleprompter skills, we already have that, and he's destroying our economy,"
Yawn. How trite. Our economy is canibalizing itself by redistributing the nation's wealth to a tiny tiny portion of the populace and thereby destroying demand, all while the GOP/Teatrolls run around asking that tiny tiny portion of the population if they'd like more salt.
Be careful Rick, after Rove dispenses with Herb, you are next.
Sorry, this guy, for me, just doesn't meet the "Peggy Noonan" test. Yuk!
The other night, Rick also looked like a joker, a smoker, and a midnight toker.
How many times do I have to tell you right wingnuts that tax cuts for the wealthy do not create jobs? Let me repeat that for the hard of hearing, TAX CUTS FOR THE WEALTHY DO NOT CREATE JOBS.
Just don't think Perry is going to do well in NH no matter what ads he runs. NH is Romney country. He might be better off focusing on SC and Iowa.
Dumb Perry 2.0 is now hiding under political ads!
This IDIOT from Texas can't put together a coherent sentence...now wonder schools in Texas at at the bottom of the sewage barrel!!!
Dumbya Perry, all hat and NO cattle!!!
How many times do I have to tell you left libtards that wealth redistribution to the poor does not create jobs? Let me repeat that for the hard of hearing, WEALTH REDISTRIBUTION TO THE POOR DOES NOT CREATE JOBS.
Oil creates jobs in Texas! You have to do more than just show up to run a country.
You know: one plus one equals three. EASY
Really, a "doer?" Is that really a word? I have to ask what has he done to advance the society in Texas? Has he encouraged charitible contributions and ways for people to help the poor? It doesn't seem like it.
And Cowboy Fonzie is showing us in that picture above exactly why he has an inferiority complex.
@wire paladan:
Shouldn't you be out occupying something? Reading your daily posts, you are obviously a "have not" looking for more of a free ride on Nanny Government. As someone that is old enough to be your father, let me share that NOW it's time to STOP telling everyone how smart you are, move out of your mother's basement, get out of your jammies and go to work!
You have to do more than just show up to run a country.
============================================
Does showing up on the golf course or campaign fund raisers count? Take those away and we have a less than part time buffoon "leading" the country (to ruin).
Redistributing tax money to the wealthy does not create jobs. It does create an elitist aristocracy.
Keith in a basement – Love your inane posts. Do they pick you up in a little bus to take to Fox? You certainly don't seem like a 90 year old father image, but you are getting a little senile.
A "doer"?!? LOL! Is that the Texan version of the wolf whistle? "Yeah, ahd doer!"
Stop calling the drunk who is charge of the house a buffoon.
After watching his performance in New Hampshire, someone needs to check his meds.
