Cain raises $1.2 million

(CNN) – Scandal has proven lucrative for Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain.

Since news of alleged sexual harassment claims broke Sunday, the former pizza executive's campaign has raised $1.2 million, spokesman J.D. Gordon told CNN.

The campaign brought in over $400,000 alone on Tuesday, eclipsing Monday's record-breaking haul of $400,000, Gordon said.

No amount of money is going to save this man this time. Running for President of the US is different and you are held up to the highest standards unlike in the Private Sector where you can be paid off.

It is called a vote of confidence in the man. This will only make Herman Cain stronger. Look for him to climb even higher in the polls.

Mr. Cain – give it a rest – you are NOT presidential material no matter what kind of person you are personally. You just don't get it.

After all, the rich are sitting on trillions of dollars instead of investing in America, so they have tons of money to throw around, even on lost causes like Herman "Mr. Nasty" Cain.

Cain was never going to make it to the general election, anyway. He's got nothing that a president needs. I know that didn't stop GWB, but Herman hasn't ever even been elected to anything.

Okay, I'm confused. He may be involved in a sexual harrassment scandal, so people go out and give him money. Are these people idiots? Oh, I forgot, they're Republicans... of course, their idiots. That goes without saying. That being said, I hope he's the nominee. Unless they want to put up Perry, Bachmann, Paul, Santorum, or Gingrich.

Nope, it'll be the department store manikin. The ultimate corporate kiss-but, the chamaleon, the one who looks like the guy who laid you off (and may have). GOPers – I love your field of candidates. hahahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha – thanks for the laugh

Cain's motivation to be in this race has been to make money all along. Mission Accomplished I guess. I fully support this approach because Corporations are people.

I will never understand Tea party voters! There has to be some truth to this story. Too many are telling the same story. Of course, if he were a Democrat, he would already be quartered and hung with less information and proof.

It's like Clarence Thomas. I will always believe he was guilty of harrassing Anita Hill. She has more class in her little finger than he has in his entire body.

"It is called a vote of confidence in the man." I like your humor. You are a liberal making fun if conservatives, right? Sort of like Colbert?

Crying victim is lucrative. Nothing makes the GOPers/Teatrolls dig in their heels and insist on what they want to believe more than contrary facts and reality threatening to prove them wrong.

@ ja– Let's not get to carried away with this and result to comparisons like Hitler. I don't think he has a chance past the first two primaries, but let's be civil.
