Washington (CNN) – One of the women who accused Republican presidential contender Herman Cain of sexual harassment released a statement through her lawyer Friday stating that she "stands by" her complaint, which was made "in good faith about a series of inappropriate behaviors and unwanted advances."
There was "more than one incident" of harassment involving Cain and his client over the span of a couple of months in 1999, attorney Joel Bennett said.

What a non-story this turned out to be. They held a news conference to say that the woman didn't want to say anything. Why do it at all? Just another political game being played on us all.
Is the lady very important to the nation??? Whatever information she will give is totally irrelevant to people. From my point of view, something old than a decade, is good for nothing!
Having already been victimized once, no doubt she isn't comfortable going through it all again ... especially when every media hound in the country will be after her, publicly analyzing any statement she gives, including the likes of Limbaugh and Coulter. Not many of us could undergo that type of scrutiny ... I know I couldn't.
Of course not, she got her pay day with some bogus accusations and minimal attention to the actual verascity of the charges. She goes public and she is now subject to scutiny in all areas of her life. For instance, I wonder how many OTHER people she has also accused of this? Any other payoffs? Believe it or not, some people make a living out of this sort of thing.
Her not coming forward doesn't negate what happened. She's not the one running for POTUS. Why should she have to be cast in the media frenzy and have her life turned upside down and being subject to all this scrutiny. It's not worth it in my opinion. She'd become a victim and victimized all over again.

Yep. It all comes down to value. There is nothing that can be 'gained' by telling the truth. So the decision is to let the accusation hang out there for speculation.
Mr Cain you know what you did and you'll have to live with that forever. Maybe you better start taking your wife on the campaign trail with you to keep you in line. You are a dirty old man.

Sorry folks, but this woman was paid a lot of money, and companies do not throw money around for pseudo or false claims. In my mind Cain can clear this up real fast, all he has to do is take a Polygraph Test. I think Cain is going to dodge the Polygraph.
It's not like the popular vote matters anyways.
Wow...this is a 360 if I ever seen one. Why does she now not want to "revisit the issue", when previous reports indicated she wanted her side of the story to be told? Guess she got paid "again" to keep her mouth shut. Hope the Cain camp made it worth her while and she didn't sell out cheap.

A he said she said from 12 years ago and nobody was found guilty of anything Even the settlement was handled outside of cain - This can of worms needs to be kicked down the road - the only folks interested in it are the Liberal Left media and Perry. Character Assassination DC style – it wreaks of politics I do not see this hurting Cain one bit - and he should all the media who persist with this story to go investigate Obama and his illegal acts while in the Oval Office

The question isn't if it did or didn't happen. The problem is Cain lied about knowing anything at all about it – lied and lied and lied. Then was finally forced to admit that yea, something happened. So he's just another dirt bag republican liar – like they all are
Funny how Mrs Cain hasnt been asked about all this... Wonder what kind of conversations she and her husband had when this came out... Or is she already used to lies?
I just hope Dan Rather doesn't end up getting fired over this story.
