Cain on Koch brothers: 'I'm their brother from another mother'

(CNN) - Responding to questions about his relationship with Charles and David Koch–better known as the Koch brothers-Herman Cain on Friday stood by his friendship with the influential conservative duo.

"I am the Koch brother's brother from another mother," the GOP presidential hopeful said to much fanfare at a summit hosted by Americans for Prosperity in Washington, D.C.

Americans for Prosperity, which supports many tea party movement causes and which also pushes for reducing government regulation in the oil and gas industries, was co-founded by the pair of industrialists. The Koch brothers are major supporters of conservative and libertarian causes.

A New York Times report earlier Friday outlined close financial and political ties between Cain and the Koch brothers, pointing out that some critics on the left view Cain as "in effect a mouthpiece for the corporate interests" of the brothers' empire.

But Cain added his own input to the article Friday, saying he took pride in their relationship.

"I'm their brother from another mother," Cain repeated. "And proud of it!"

So you bare you ugly racist head for all to see. We can all see what it really means to be a "tollerant" liberal. As long as blacks and other minorities keep their mouths shut and accept the handouts from Democrats they'le be fine. As soon as they start to think for themselves...let the lynching begin.

BTW everyone, Where were the stories in the NYT about the influence George Soros has with the Dems and pesident Obama????? I guess I missed that article in the SLIMES. What a joke you people are.

These are the same Koch borthers that founded Americans For Prosperity and FreedomWorks? You should take some time to read up on what these organizations actually DO. Like mailing out fake ballots with misinformation. Like serving fake eviction notices to people who are down on their luck (that last one they said they were just trying to make a point.. Nice.)

The Koch Brothers have funded and been behind the worst and sleaziest politics in a generation. The invest heavily in push-polls, gonzo 'journalism', astroturfing, and dirty tricks like i mention above. They have an agenda (not some conspiracy theory here, this is their stated agenda) to wreck the US to make sure they get the right peopl ein office next time.

THESE are Cain's 'brothers from another mother'. I wouldnt want to attend the family reuinion.

Everything you ever need to about Cain summed up neatly in one simple statement.

Just goes to show what happens when a person drinks from Kool-Aid made by the Koch brothers.

This guy is a joke. How long is it going to take for conservatives to figure out that this guy has been leading them down the primrose path for far too long?

I DO NOT see conservative America actually voting for this guy, even if he is against a Barack Obama.
    Give me a break.

Once again billionair money dictates repo politics. They can keep their brother. Now that corporations don't have to disclose campaing money we will see a lot of money people buying their own politicans. You though it was bad before. Never will get the upper 1% to pay their fair share of taxes with these clowns running the show. So all you repos keep voting for these guys and watch your wallet dwindle and your pay checks go down the toiley while these fat cats get richer.

I'm looking forward to tonight's SNL. This batch of Republican candidates is too funny! This stuff couldn't be scripted by the cleverest of writers.

Doesn't sound like Cain thinks much of his Mother, does it? What a horrible, revolting thing to say! It's about as stupid as his 9-9-9 plan to give the wealthiest Americans yet more protection from paying their fair share and place an even heavier burden on the middle class and working poor. A sales tax eats up a much higher percent of the lower incomes because so much more of their money must be spent on necessities. Even worse, Cain's plan charges NO tax on investment income and Capital gains. Zero, nadda, zip! Ken Lay and Bernie Madoff would have loved it.

"I am the Koch brother's brother from another mother,"

this is enough of a reason, all by itself, to distrust him.

I agree Cain is the best the GOP can come up with and he is a "Koch Bro from a different mother" or so he says...If he only knew the koch's true feelings toward Herm run...............

The Koch bro's are laughing like heck about how stupid the lower income people are voting for their 999 plan which will make the Koch's RICHER or they wouldn't have Cain talking about 999.You don't think it's for the average working people do you?
The working poor conservatives believe it.

There is just too much crap surfacing on Mr. Cain. He hasn't become the nominee yet or President yet. Can you imagine home much more can come about? Mr. Cain if I were you I would lay everything I ever done wrong or under the table out so it will quiet those against you. I personally won't vote for you but that was my decision way before the scandal's came public.

Well that doesn't do Cain any favors saying this crap...the Koch brothers have been in the busness of trying to buy a president for years...seems like they got their patsy. If he wins then we'd have a Hermie and a couple of Heimie's in the white house. My guess is that the country will never elect a black man who speaks with the slang and uneducated sounding vocabulary of Cain. Time to go back to making pizza's.

What a caricature this guy is going out of his way to be. Speak English Cain. What you seem to think is adding character or charm to your words, people are laughing at and calling Ebonics, or what they used to refer to as "jive talk" behind your back. Save that talk for mindless blaxploitation sitcoms, reality tv shows, etc and at least represent yourself with intelligent speech.

Roger "We already knew that and why I would never vote for one siding with those continuing the gutting of our middle class. Continuing to ship our jobs off-shore. Every thing trickled down to the pocketbooks of the rich. "

You're right, there is no reason to vote for Democrats ever again.

Sorta like Obama being Soros' brother from another mother; except Cain has the balls to say it out loud.

Wanna get re-elected regardless of how bad a president you are? I know: Let's Occupy Wall Street!
