Cain accuser close to agreement to issue statement

Washington (CNN) – One of the women who reportedly accused Republican presidential contender Herman Cain of sexual harassment was close to reaching an agreement Friday that would let her issue her first public statement on what happened, according to her lawyer.

The controversy has dominated Cain's front-running campaign for the past week. A defiant Cain insists he will not let the issue deter him.

Herb has taken advantage of the sealed settlement language so far, and now the truth will come out. As a democrat, I was hoping Herb would be the republican nominee.

Herman Cain is fast becoming another Sarah Palin. It would really, really be helpful to America if GOPers weren't so willing to force candidates to become that which they aren't - sellable - and then spend month after month in blogosphere idiocy trying to sell the unsellable to Americans who really DO see through the gamesmanship. Sarah Palin. Michele Bachmann. Newt Gingrich. Herman Cain. Mitt Romney. Rick Perry. Ron Paul. Rick Santorum. Not one of these candidates is presidential material, and frankly, never were. Not one of them is able to lead themself out of a paper box, let alone lead the free world. We spent month after month hearing one GOPer after another sing one praise after another for Palin, when in fact, she was nobody going nowhere fast. Three years later, history now repeats itself with Herman Cain. No doubt Romney. who can't seem to finish any given sentence in any given speech without coming across as shallow and bumbling will follow where Palin and Cain left off when he is finally nominated. As for me and mine, we'll stick with the one man who has proven he's got what it takes ... and leads accordingly.

Those on the left are going to assume, without proof, that Cain is guilty of some impropriety.

Those on the right are going to assume, without proof, that Cain is being set up.

All I have to say is that IF someone is trying to PROFIT off of this, that person get's what's coming to them.
