
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - Fewer Americans filed for initial unemployment benefits last week, marking continued - but still slow - improvement in the job market.
About 390,000 people filed for their first week of unemployment claims in the week ended Nov. 5, the Labor Department said Thursday. The number of claims fell 10,000 from the revised 400,000 in the prior week.

It`s certainly not due to anything obama has done.
On the one hand, it's great we're at a 7 month low. On the other hand, we still have 390,000 people filing for first-time unemployment on top of the millions who are already unemployed – on top of the millions more who are under-employed.

The GOP hasn't contributed anything to slow unemployment. There number one goal is not to make things better, but to make things worse. According to the GOP. in doing this voters will punish the Obama administration. We are not as stupid as they think? We see what their strategy is and how it's playing out in congress. We will ensure we elect representative who will go to Washington and work, not people whose aim is to 'stall things'
If it wasn't for the stimulus package, saving of the auto Industry , the unemployement rate would've been over 20%. Thank you President Obama.
