Santorum's 'oops' on Perry gaffe

New Boston, New Hampshire (CNN) - The day after Rick Perry's embarrassing mental slip at a GOP debate, former Sen. Rick Santorum waded into the hubbub at a town hall in New Hampshire.

It was unclear whether Santorum meant to ding the Texas governor.

A voter at Santorum's town hall raised his hand to complain that the candidate never seemed to get enough speaking time at a series of Republican debates this fall.

Santorum agreed, adding: "It's not like when someone asks me a question, I sort of stare at the camera and don't know what to say."

He paused as the ramifications of what he'd said seemed to strike home. The audience burst into laughter. So did Santorum.

"I didn't mean that. Bad thing to say," he said. "Oops."

Then he asked the audience: "Am I blushing?"

When trying to list the three agencies he'd shutter as president, Perry had a lengthy and awkward mental lapse and was unable to list the third agency. The Michigan debate was hosted by CNBC.

He improved some, in this debate, but he is still too negative, and still too concerned about how much camera time he is getting. His propensity to attack the other candidates, rather than discuss his own position, is also, a big turn off.

It is simple why he doesn't get asked questions,he is another GOP politician that adds nothing to logic or a conversation. TO PUT IT BLUNTLY he is BORING and has nothing to add to the betterment of the debate. Even his own people threw him out of his Senate office position !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a bunch of clowns the GOP-bagger candidates (and their brainwashed supporters) are. Total embarrassments, each and every one of them.

I think some conservatives will start to warm up to Santorum given Perry, Cain, Bachmann, and Gingrich have had some very bad moments during the campaign and all have significant character issues. I prefer Romney though since he has more relevant experience than Santorum or Paul. Santorum may do quite well since his momentum is building. People want serious candidates to run and he is one of the few Republicans that I view as intelligent. I think Santorum needs to talk a bit more of what his vision is with some policy proposals if he wants more people to consider him.

Santorum's financial supporters will say, "Opps!" when his campaign melts away and evaporates like that snow ball in hell does.

This is actually the very first time I have agreed with anything Santorum has said. It is a lynching up at PSU, and Paterno, after 62 years of an unblemished record in everything, deserves much better than he got. The rest of the politicos, to their everlasting shame, are throwing him in the fires of the auto da fe, based solely on the testimony of a man, whose behavior needs much closer examination.

In the other Santorum story, if such it can be callled, Rick S. read a nice detailed speech written for him by the Zionist lobby about pre-emptively attacking Iran. The justification is that Iran is trying to develop a nuke, and the irony is that Israel has had nukes for years.

Why is Rick not demanding a pre-emptive strike on Israel?

We need to be concerned about what they are talking about more than a few verbal mistakes. No one ever questioned him on eliminating 3 major government departments. Where in the hell is the press???????? Not to mention the EPA.
