Columbia, South Carolina (CNN) – Republican presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann on Friday described protesters who interrupted her foreign policy speech aboard the USS Yorktown the day before as "ignorant" and "disrespectful."
"They haven't been told what was done for them and that's what's a shame. And I think that as soon as they would know, if they understood the heavy price that was paid for that First Amendment right, they'd be much more respectful," Bachmann said while shaking hands at a Veterans Day parade in Columbia, South Carolina.
On Thursday, about a dozen protesters caused a stir when they stood up and delivered a coordinated message through a tactic known as a "human microphone," where one person yells out a message and the rest of the group repeats it collectively. A group called Occupy Charleston claimed on its website that it has staged the interruption.
"Blaming people that disagree with you, unpatriotic socialists… this does not help the American people," the group shouted.
The disturbance drowned out the Minnesota congresswoman's remarks, and she briefly left the stage until it was over. When she returned, she praised the group's right to protest.
"Don't you just love the First Amendment? It's great, we have a great country and I want to thank you all for your understanding," she said.
But at the parade on Friday, after a woman unrelated to the group apologized for what happened at the speech, Bachmann talked about the incident with a harsher tone than the one she took the previous day
"I was surrounded by heroes yesterday on the USS Yorktown who paid a big price for them, and they're just ignorant of that," Bachmann responded. "That's all. They're ignorant and they were disrespectful, but you know someday hopefully they'll come to know the price that was applied."

Hrm. Would that be about as ignorant and disrespectful as interrupting the President's State of the Union address with an erroneous accusation, Ms. Bachmann? An action that you praised? - You are a Christian, aren't you, miss? You should know that those that are disrespectful to others deserve none themselves in turn.
Speaking to Veterans? She doesn't even know where America's first battles took place. She disrespects America.

Anyone favoring a GOP candidate commonly starts their day by getting on all fours in the grass and munching on twigs, weeds and dandelions. National Geographic has a 5 DVD set of these creatures in their natural habitat known as the alley or the sewer depending on what part of the country they happen to be from. One scene, shows about 100,000 of these half-human-half-deformed-brainless animals rising up on their hind legs and making loud grunting sounds as though they were having trouble taking a crap and in serious pain while stretching their necks forward to get a glimpse of their leader jumping up and down on a huge rock in a frenzy screeching high pitched sounds from the top of his or her lungs like an animal that was just branded with a flaming hot iron. Anthropologists have named this erratic behavior as "Tea Party Syndrome."
Was anyone physically hurt during this speech? Was anyone attacked? No, the only thing that happened was that Michelle Bachmann got flustered, and that, of course, makes her a victim. Never mind the ridiculous statements she's made, attacking the character of anyone she feels threatens her cartoon world: thats the only thing that's important, eh? Michelle Bachmann gets to play victim (again), when she encouraged others to do the same thing 2 years ago during the healthcare debate. Not ready for primetime, is she?
So she says she respects your right to use your free speech, but when you do, she lambastes you for it.

These clowns were not interested in expressing their opinions but in denying Bachmann the ability to express hers. And also denying other people there their right ot hear Bachmann's speech.
So she wasn't allowed to finish? She had to leave as soon as they were done? What you don't understand is that with someone like her (and I suspect you as well), you have to actually get in their face to speak your piece or there will be no chance of her hearing. There's still very little chance of her understanding or grasping significance, but at least we know she actually heard them.
Why were those original Boston patriots shouting "Taxation without
representation is tyranny!"? Taken at their word, it wasn't tax opposition so
much as resentment against others thousands of miles away, with no Americans
in their legislatures, setting tax rates. To not realize this is to misunderstand
why the colonists wanted independence in the first place.
Now consider the plight of citizens seeking representation today. Will
my representative listen to me and my ten buck donation or give his ear to
those with the million dollar handouts?
Then there is the Supreme Court 'money = speech' decision. Foreign
corporations can now, through American subsidiaries, pump money and
influence into our politics. It's deja-vu all over again – foreign influence
with no American representation!
Lastly, the Tea Party and their GOP benefactors are now engaged
in a national effort to suppress voting by, among other things, making photo
ID's required. Since when was lessening citizen representation a Tea Party
goal?
If Tea Partyers want to align their beliefs with the original Boston
patriots, they should: (1) advocate public financed elections (2) seek repeal
of the Supreme Court 'money=speech' decision, and (3) oppose GOP voter
suppression programs. Otherwise they are triple-time traitors to their own cause.
And in the spirit of the Occupy movement, why don't the Democrats enlist the Tea
Party in their efforts to get money out of politics. It's the key to changing things.
It's the American Way... if ya can't beat 'em, co-opt 'em.

Oh.....so when the Tea Party did this at town hall meetings they were using their 1st amendment rights, but when others (and by "others" I mean those who have at least half a brain and can see through her brand of baloney) do it, that's unacceptable. In regards to Bachmann's encounter with Americans that disagree with her
it is called the First Ammendment. You defended it when it was your rude and racist crowd doing the interrupting and protesting.Suck it up.

Holy cow, is Bachmann that stupid? I hate to tell you the heavy price was paid for during the Revolutionary War and not the Afghanistan or Iraq war. Did I miss something? Were those two countries trying to subjugate us? I'd love to quiz her on the Constitution and its inception. I bet that lame brain in Congress doesnt even know what the Bill of Rights is.
