Perry ad calls Obama comment 'pathetic'

(CNN) - Rick Perry is hitting the airwaves for the third time in Iowa, selling his message of government reform while criticizing President Barack Obama's "socialist policies."

The 30-second spot, which will air nationally and in the first-in-the-nation caucus state, starts with a clip of Obama saying America has been a "little bit lazy" over the last few decades.

After labeling the president's comment "pathetic," Perry calls for a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution and decreased pay for members of Congress, pillars of his Washington reform plan put forth Tuesday.

"Obama's socialist policies are bankrupting America," Perry says in the spot. "We must stop him now."

The commercial, titled "Lazy," is the third such spot from the Texas governor, one of two candidates that have purchased ad time in the Hawkeye State ahead of January's caucuses. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas has also run ads in the state.

Although Perry's national and statewide poll numbers have dropped since his late entry into the race, he raised more than $17 million in the third fundraising quarter, enabling paid media buys.

We do not need another "Texas Blowhard" in the White House . Look at the mess the last "Texas Blowhard"
left the country in . I will never vote republican again as long as they stick to the same old tired message
they´ve been sticking to . The republicans have ruined the envirement , our financiak status and standing
in the World . Every bad thing that has happened to this country recently is a direct result of past and present
    (Congress) republican leadership .

On Rick Perry I am a Democrat, and last week I really felt sorry for him in the debate. That were a painful thing to watch. I know the GOP will never let him be their candidate to run against President Obama, but what puzzle me is
how in the world did he get to be Govenor of Texas? He is good looking , now maybe that it.

…look who is talking! Rick, it might be time to ask you the all-important question: “Governor, what do you think a President does?” I am sure; you do not know….because, it is not anything you would ever be qualified to even talk about. What is pathetic and lazy are the “choices” the GOP/TP is presenting to the voter.

    "socialist policies."

It's sad. But there are people who will believe this and then verify it with Fox News.

Democrat Class Warfare – Destroying the economy, destroying the country

$15 TRILLION in the hole as of today! if Obama is re-elected, we'll be over $20 TRILLION in debt when he leaves office. We'll be paying close to a TRILLION a year in interest payments ALONE. Of course, the Democrats will still refuse to cut spending and propose we raise taxes to 120% of income.
    .................................................................................................................................................................................................
if Obama is re- elected, we will be reduce 10 tillion in debt from tax on millionare and billion

Its the democrats with the welfares that are hidden in all government programs that are responsible for the lazy 45 percent who are clamoring for more of obamas socialist agenda. The other 55 percent are hard working conservative americans. Economist say that disincentive to work hard (lazy) is the achilles heel of socialism. If one knows how to play the system one may live relatively wealthy off it without breaking a sweat.

If he wants to talk about pathetic he should look in the mirror. Can't even remember the departments he wants to eliminate. A student in Jr. High would have knows that.

    @ Class warfare
Your hyperbole is laughable. You conservatives believe you can veil you malice for our president by attacking his policies, most of which were endorsed by your party prior Obama coming to office. This leads me to believe you HATE the man, no matter what policy he takes. Also a tenant of hate is racism.
    Example:
The individual mandate was initially offered by da Pubs in the 90's when the healthcare debate was undertaken, also, it was an underpinning of the GOP front runner's healthcare plan. You call Obama a Socialists, pray-tell, which policies has Obama put forth that are socialistic. SPECIFICS PLEASE, NO HYPERBOLE

Oh, now we're back to the socialist angle Republicans? Humm... ever notice how many so-called socialist countries are faring better than ours these days, with better economies, better health care, happier people, better environmental safety, better infrastructure, better foreign relations? Methinks the GOP, and in particular Perry, Bachmann and thier ilk, should rethink their tactics, 'cause they look like they have their heads up their assets.

These Repub/Tea Partiers need to live in the real world. What President Obama said is true and we, as Americans, take a lot for granted. If we go back to having the Repubs run the show we will NEVER move this country forward and progress into the 21st Century. President Obama gets it and knows that our country is lagging behind...that is why we need to kick out the Repub majority in the House and go all Dem in 2012!

Seeing your name, and reading your comments, I can clearly see you are as ignorant, hateful, and uninformed as your namesake.
    Question:
Define Socialism for me, you can use google, then explain how subsidies for oil and farm companies is not corporate socialism.

There is really nothing wrong with socialism, it puts the power of a society in the hands of the worker. I kinda like that...
SO madame Alaska, i'll share mines if you share yours, and together we can prevail.

Obamacare is as close as the buffon could come because even his fellow Democrats wouldn't support what he really wanted, government paid and run universal healthcare.

And Obama's pure love of class warfare is a hallmark trait of a socialist/communist.

If Obama had retained control of the House in 2010 and had a few more Senate seats, this country would be going full speed down the road to socialism. THAT is why the American people put a stop to him. The conclusion comes in 2012.

Beantown Bully: If you don't mind socialism, find another country. And no, it doesn't put the power in the hands of the worker, but it does take away the rights this country was found on, and it removes any chance of class mobility.
