Washington (CNN) - House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi declined Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry's debate invitation and poked a little fun at the Texas governor while she was at it.
"He did ask if I could debate here in Washington on Monday," Pelosi said, responding to a question about Perry's invitation. "It is my understanding that such a letter has come in. Monday I'm going to be in Portland in the morning and I'm going to be visiting some of our labs in the afternoon, that's two, I can't remember what the third thing is I'm going to be doing."
Pelosi was ribbing Perry for his recent debate gaffe when he couldn't recall the third government agency he would shut down if elected president during an awkward 54 seconds of air time.
Gov. Perry responded through his personal and campaign twitter accounts saying, "Something @NancyPelosi would like to forget: passing a 2k-page gov takeover of healthcare without reading it. American ppl haven't forgotten."
According the newspaper The Hill, Perry sent a letter to Pelosi saying, "I am in Washington Monday and would love to engage you in a public debate about my Overhaul Washington plan versus the congressional status quo. I think it would be a tremendous service to the American people to see a public airing of these differences," he continued. "Let the people decide. If Monday doesn't work, perhaps we could find a time in Iowa over the course of the next month to discuss these issues in front of the people of America's heartland."
Gov. Perry's Overhaul Washington plan includes cutting Congress to a part-time body.

Now Perry is so senile that he does not know who he is, and isn't, running against. His campaign staff should remind him that Pelosi is NOT running for President...and he had better concentrate on debating the folks who are.
Actually, maybe Governor Perry was trying to be first in line to get some "legal" insider trading tips from the Mistress of Self-Indulgence. Those who hold either of these two up as worthy for all of "us" to debate over are some really lost puppies. I certainly include Mr (Wow, did my broker buy that? Well, bless his sweet heart!) Boehner as well. These are some dark days in national politics. We are not too big to fail.

Is Perry running for congress or for President? Pelosi has to answer to her California district not to Perry. I suggest he tries to convince the nation that he is capable of leading the country. So far he has proven that he is only capable of being a Texas governor, that is a good old boy.
She lost my support before she even had it by declaring that impeachment for Bush and Cheney was "off the table". If it wasn't for this pig they would be in federal prison right now.
Perry had a very hard time when he was debating a bunch of clowns. Wonder what would happen if he debated Nancy Pelosi who is one of the most intelligent persons around. Come on Nancy we all need a good laugh. Show Perry he has a snowballs chance.

Why would he debate Pelosi? He's running for President, not for Representative from California. He should debate his own party opponents and, if he wins the primary, then President Obama – I really thinks those are enough people for Gov.Perry to focus on, don't you?
