Cain to CNN: 'A decision in the next several days'

Dayton, Ohio (CNN) – Embattled Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain is keeping mum on whether he will remain in the race for the GOP nomination.

When asked by CNN if he is vowing to continue his campaign, Cain declined to give a direct response.

"We are reassessing and reevaluating," Cain said.

Cain said he would have a final answer about his future plans soon.

"We will be making a decision in the next several days," Cain said.

Cain made the comments as he was greeting voters along a security ropeline after a speech in Dayton, Ohio.

The candidate did not make himself available for additional questions.

In his speech, Cain told voters he is the victim of "character assassination." But he made no emphatic promise to stay in the race. Several supporters in the crowd urged him to fight on.

Why drag it out? Quit now. Look at you, you're burnt to a crisp.
Pack up your little yellow tie, and then go home and pack up a suitcase because your wife is voting for Obama. lol!

Mr. Cain admits he knows Ms. White, and there seems to have been an on-going telephone communication between the two of them for some time. SOMETHING is going on, either emotionally and/or physically. I wouldn't want my husband to be constantly calling another woman, under any circumstances! Remember, Mr. Cain, we should always attempt to step away from all "appearances of evil".

His decision should be to compare his infidelities to Newt Gingrich. It seems the republican voters have forgotten Newt's cheating on two of his former wives.

Character assination???? Come on Herm, 4 women come out and say you tried to sex them up and now you mistress has come forth????? Herm, you ideas for America stink, you are a horrible husband and a moron! So quit bilking your few remaining supporters out of their hard earned cash and quit! We all knew that you are a Republican experiment gone bad, just like Michael Steele. You had to know that you had no chance of winning the Republican nomination and when you did start gaining some traction, the Republican Party used your past indiscreations and threw you under the bus. Besides, no way the Republican Party would allow a black man to represent them while there is a black President. That means there would be another black president, if Herm had a chance of winning, which is most of the Republican Party porblem with our current President. Now Herm, in the infamous words of Tony Montona "say goodnight to the bad guy"!

Cain should stay in the race. If Newt can stay in the race, Cain can stay in the race. Newt and Cain are running neck and neck in the cheating on your wives category. Just think, if either one of these scumbags gets the Nomination, the other one could be named running for Vice. The Republican Party coul really be proud of that twosome.

Cain's political career was short-lived. Did he really think his past behavior wouldn't be revealed? Personally, I'm getting tired of seeing his face and don't look forward to watching him in another debate. Leave the race Mr. Cain. The women in your past got you good.

Herm – hang it up. You let your supporters down, and your poor attempts at denial are just embarrassing.

If it was one or two women, ok. But what is it, five now?

If they were just affairs, ok. But most of these are involving s – e – x – u – a – l (faulty WordPress filter; heretoafter referred to as "inappropriate") harassment in the workplace. And not just rude comments, either. In one instance, a woman says he grabbed her thigh and ran his hands up her dress, then when she asked him to stop, he told her that it was the only way she'd get the job she was seeking.

So no, this isn't "character assassination" or "gotcha." This is an ongoing pattern of "inappropriate" misconduct that would land most people in prison.

Clinton lied about having a consensual workplace affair and was impeached for it. Herman Cain has "inappropriately" harassed and assaulted women without their consent. Stick a fork in this guy, cuz he's done.

I guess now I know why he never invested in buying himself another tie.

The only "Pattern," Kris, is baseless accusations. Most of which were previously addressed and settled, as in, over a decade ago. Innocent until proven guilty is dead; is this what democracy looks like?

    Keep fighting, Herm.

I would be more impressed if Cain would manup and take some responsibility for this and stop blaming the left, nameless oppositons, some of his opponents, the media, and of course the alledged victims. Besides where are the likes of Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, the NAACP and the black community as a whole while he's being attacked like this? Oh that's right they are all BRAINWASHED wallowing in self pity. Cain may regret some of the bridges he has burned especially with the latter groups.

What was it that he said yesterday? To praphrase: If people stop sending me money I'll quit the race. Not: "I'm staying in this race because I can do something great for America". Nope. It's all about the money and the honeys for Herman.
That's the problem with this self-loathing wannabe.

No they did not forget. They are just more willing to conveniently overlook the moral and ethical "indiscretions" of one of their own,if you catch my drift.
Herman, no matter how deluded he was, never was and never will be one of their own.
We tried to tell the 'brotha' but he was flying high with his two brothers from another mother.

Mr. Cain may be in for some tough fiscal times ahead. He was unemployed when he started the race, and will continue to be after he drops out. He was married when he started the race, and could be struggling to remain so after he drops out. Alimony is rough. Johnny Carson showed us just how rough it can be. Mr. Cain's future is beginning to look like his own words just may be coming back to taunt him.

"If you are unemployed and you're broke, then you have no one to blame but yourself." or something like that.
