Cain journey part of 'God's plan'

Rock Hill, South Carolina (CNN) – Businessman Herman Cain made one campaign stop in South Carolina before returning to Atlanta to meet with his wife and family after a wave of allegations have threatened his presidential campaign.

Political activist Jamie Harrison tried to rally the audience before Cain walked out. "So what do you want him to do? Run, run, run?"

The crowd yelled, "Run, run, run!"

Political Notebook: CNN’s Candy Crowley and Bob Costantini discuss Herman Cain’s troubles, the ground work Newt Gingrich has yet to do, and employment numbers. Also, a Democratic pollster weighs in on the fight over extending a payroll tax holiday.

Cain appeared to be in good spirits as he delivered his stump speech. He told about 200 people gathered that his journey is part of God's plan.

"There is God's plan but you see, God doesn't tell you his plan for you until he believes you are ready for those parts of the plan. So I believe that I'm on this journey, I'm on this journey for a reason and I don't look back," said Cain.

After he acknowledged "some challenges," Cain said he will address the future of his presidential campaign Saturday at the scheduled opening of his new Georgia campaign headquarters. He said the announcement will "clarify …exactly what the next steps are" for the campaign.

"I am reassessing because of all of this media firestorm stuff. Why? Because my wife and family comes first, I got to take that into consideration," said Cain. "I don't doubt the support that I have, just look at the people that are here. We have to look at what happens to contributions and we got to reevaluate the whole strategy."

Cain urged his supporters to stay informed. "Because there's a lot of garbage out there on the internet. There's a lot of garbage out there on TV. There's a lot of garbage out there about me, don't you know," he said as the crowd cheered. "There's a lot of misinformation out there so you have to stay informed and check out the facts for yourself."

After the town hall, people walked up to Cain and said, "Don't give up on us" and "Don't quit Herman!"

As he was getting into his SUV two men shouted, "Herman, America needs you. Don't stop" and "Think of our grandchildren this weekend."

This was the candidate's third visit to Rock Hill. Cain has four paid staffers in South Carolina with its headquarters in Columbia. South Carolina Director William Head said they are in the process of opening three field offices in Aiken, Greenville, and Myrtle Beach.

Head said, "Obviously the campaign moves full steam ahead."

Did Gods planned journey for Cain include this 13 year relationship with a woman other than his wife ?

He should have went home immediately to talk to his wife who is 100% behind him. He needs to hold himself accountable and take full responsibility and take it like a man. He need to stop playing like he is the victim. What type of message is he sending to the people? If he done it, own it, fix it and move on.

@wire Paladan and you other dead beat Liberals that infest this blog: Whether you realize it or not, you're entire lives are part of God's plan too. Up till now, reading the hateful words you spew, most of you must be a huge disappointment to Him.

I appreciate God's sense of humor..................we all needed a laugh at your expense, Herman. I think God is telling you, leave now Herman, you still have a little dignity remaining.

Well the last person from the Bible named Cain murdered his brother Abel because Abel gave a proper sacrifice unto God (First and best) and Cain gave unto God what he wanted Him to have. So because God recognizes Abel's offering and denied Cain's, Cain murdered Abel. Is Obama Cain's Abel?

So God told Herman to harass all those women, then he told him to run for President? Sounds to me like God sabotaged him.

Vote for Gene Simmons for President...When he shows up at the UN in his Kiss outfit, high heal shoes, carrying the football, and launch codes, and with his finger on the Nuclear button...Iran, and North Korea, will shake in their boots.

It just makes me sick to witness a politician proclaiming his work is part of God's plan. It is a play to the intellectually weak and is the same thing that keeps despots in power in the Middle East and on Capitol Hill.

God's plan for Herman may be for Herman to start following a few of the Ten Commandments, like not committing adultery or bearing false witness.

Okay so it is God's plan to expose me to a CNN article about Herman Cain and his adultery? And it's also part of God's plan that I know Herman bashes poor and under privileged person?

You know I have faith in God and I'm not about to interpret God's grand design, but I'm pretty certain this is not what I'm supposed to be paying attention to.

Cain, you may be a lecher. This is not a judgment but a strong possibility. So why don't you leave God out of this and take responsibility for the Free Will you were graced with?

Thus saith the Lord, "Herman, I want you to run for President."

If this is have to admit it, God has a great sense of humor. NOW, maybe Hermie will repent from his sinful ways. BWA HAHA.

  25. Tired of the nonsense

If you talk to God, you're religious.
If God talks to you, you're psychotic.

The thing is that God doesn't care who runs for office or who wins. God's not a registered voter. He/She/It is just watching these politicians sit and spin, and I have no doubt that God is laughing so hard, he/she/it has tears in his/her/its eyes. 🙂 Then again, he/she/it might be penning a rude op-ed column against all these individuals who keep claiming that God wants them to be in office.
