BLITZER’S BLOG: Donald Trump – always passionate and opinionated

New York (CNN) – I spent some quality time with Donald Trump today at his office in New York. Having interviewed him many times over the years, I can assure you he remains vintage Trump. He has very strong views on virtually every issue out there – though they are not always what you might think.

He doesn't lack in self-confidence. He's understandably very proud of his accomplishments. He's a firm believer of what my father used to say to me all the time growing up in Buffalo, New York: "Remember, son: if you don't promote yourself, no one else will."

Watch The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer weekdays at 4pm to 6pm ET and Saturdays at 6pm ET. For the latest from The Situation Room click here.

His father was wrong! The mark of great folks and to let others extol your praises. He sounds proud, and yet he comes through as a person with complex.

Is orange a disease in the republican party?

Please STOP telling us what Trump thinks about anything UNLESS he jumps into the race. Please.

I would like to debate Mr. Trump on the issues. I don't think he has the guts to actually engage in a serious political debate with anyone but the misinformed.

Donald Trump is only passionate about one thing – promoting Donald Trump. He has a pathological ego and the media keeps falling for it. His moderating a GOP debate is neither interesting or adds any legitimacy to the election.

I find it very disturbing that CNN continues to promote Donald Trump by having him come on every show and spew his hate for America and the President in particular with his ridiculious rants and political views. Trump has set a record for punking CNN numerous times with his self promotion that does nothing good for Americans. When you have Trump getting airtime anytime he wants with CNN it makes CNN look like Trump Chumps. Very un professional behaviour indeed and it is hard to take anything serious when you cater to Donald Trump.

Why do people treat him like he's some sort of wise sage? His wealth was not built by producing goods and services, but a brand: his name. What has he eally done to deserve this status, when he has created nothing, invented nothing, and ultimately is nothing. His obsertvations are like cotton candy, full of hot air and of no value or substance at all.

LOL. I was wondering about that watching yesterday's news clips. LOL.

Wow...nifty trick there managed to find a way to make "pushy, self-centered, egomaniacal media wh-re jackhole" sound like something to be proud of. Kudos.

I would submit that saying having spent "quality time" with Trump is an oxy-moron.

It should be interesting with Santorum and Gingrich. A moral political wannabe and an immoral political has been.

I don't understand why CNN has Donald Trump on he is nothing but a big Narcissist everything is about him. He knows nothing about politics and he is a big ugly person he has nothing nice to say. Please quit giving him air time. With all his money he should get hair implants instead of that ugly mop probably from China.
