Romney video ties Gingrich to left

Manchester, New Hampshire (CNN) – Mitt Romney’s campaign is keeping up its drumbeat of attacks on Newt Gingrich with another web video hitting the former House speaker’s collaboration with Nancy Pelosi.

The video, called “Newt and Nancy,” ties Gingrich to Pelosi and former Vice President Al Gore for their work on climate change awareness.

“When Al Gore needed support for his liberal global warming agenda, he turned to his friend Nancy Pelosi,” the Romney video reads. “When Pelosi wasn’t enough, Newt Gingrich gave his support.”

Gingrich appeared in an advertisement with Pelosi in 2008, and urged the country to “take action” on climate change.

The Romney video capitalizes on the former Massachusetts governor’s charge that Gingrich is an “unreliable leader" for some of his forays outside party orthodoxy. Last week the Romney campaign released a web video attacking Gingrich's comment in May that a conservative-backed plan to overhaul Medicare was "right-wing social engineering."

Gingrich later walked back his statement.

Romney called Gingrich “an extremely unreliable leader in the conservative world” in an interview with The Washington Post Tuesday

Responding to prev. comments – Mikey, My opinion counts and I do know and you might, might know how the economy works. Maybe not. If you did understand it completely you would understand businesses and how immensely important they are to our nation. The changes that need to be made in the White House are to be done by someone who has worked creating jobs. You might argue Romney has actually sent jobs abroad and lay off a lot of people. The fact is he has created more jobs than what president Obama, or Newt has created. That was Romney's line of work and it is what he knows how to do. He can also make the changes necessary to stop mal practices in the private sector. He will also know how to protect business. He know much about foreign policy. He served a mission in France from his church. He lived very poorly there as they are to live without TV, without luxury. He had to become very humbled. He shows that in his family. Did you know he refused to make profit out of an R Rated movie. I can go on and on, but I cant. do it now.

Marcus- I am not smarter or claiming to be smarter. If you get that from my post, then I write very well for a Salvadorian. I am not an ideologist. I always try to look at both sides, sometimes taking back what I spoke as I see the other person's point of view and see why the misunderstanding. If you show me and the rest of the people reading this posts the links, that will be helpful. Of course I will look it up and see how they got the information. You can always get when someone is writing in attack mode rather than information mode.

Once upon a horse – We agree Obama ain't the person that should run this country. You say the GOP is saying that it is our own fault why we are poor. There is truth in that statement, as well as some poor that do not apply to it. Most of it it is our fault, we chose to many wrong decisions, and we gave priority to things that really weren't as important.

@Chaz – Obama = Not Successful president. So that does not count on my books. Apparently even hard democrat like my dad agree he has not done a good job. Of course he will rather like Obama in the president than to see a Republican in the white house. That is just pure wrong, but.

"Global Warming was such a great way to make billions of dollars! Wish I had thought of it!"
    ---------------------------------------–
Global climate change is reality with very few credible scientists still in doubt. Dr. Limbaugh, Dr. Hannity and Dr. Beck have opposing views – but their PhDs are in "Creating Reality to Stir Up Right-Wingers" – folks who don't require actual proof. Their audience, many who reject the concept of evolution and believe the earth is less than 6,000 years old, still refer to normal climatic changes as evidenced by the geologic record. You can't have it both ways folks. The recent climate conference presented results of recent studies. One particular prediction of concern was the estimate of Africa's food production, due to drought, declining 50% over a 30 year period. As tens of millions of people die across the globe how do you visualize life for our grandkids here in the U.S.? Can we relocate 20%+ of our population? How? Where? As people from flooded or arid regions begin to starve will you offer them a home and food to eat? Really? Turn off Fox News and go to school.

Yesterday Ann Coulter on Hannity (Faux Show) said "I'd vote for Jeffrey Dahmer over Obama and screw the Liberals..." This is how disgusting GOP/TP are becoming. Ronald Ragen, super librial by today's standard, must be rolling in his grave. Let's go back to 17th century puritan test, elect GOP/TP...

Romney has a resume to run this country . . . into the ground.

    There, FIFY.

Action on climate change is now not just a matter of disagreement.
It is a dirty phrase that could cost you your nomination entirely.
Something to be reviled at. If you see Newt making a case for it on tv, you are supposed to feel sick and throw up.

Rid the Senate of Do Nothing Democraps – Have you seen the news? Even countries that tried for years to deny the existence of the Global Warming (for economic purposes) had to admit that it is real and is happening (and find another excuse to not compromise of course) because they realized that they were going to lose credibility (and much more) big time if they kept that line. Except for the 'scientists' that still try to deny the Global (some of them also tried to 'prove' that there's no connection between to smoke and the vast majority of respiratory system related cancers for decades), it is a consensus that what you call 'scam' is but a fact.

Do you know why Obama had to spend so much money ? Any ideas who's bills came due that Obama had to pay ? Do you really think that Obama spent money that wasn't approved by congress ? The credit card bill from the Bush era came due under Obamas watch.

So who's more "conservative"? Actually, they are both conservative. Except that they possess very liberal spending habits. One of them likes to spend big at Tiffany's and go on fancyzancy ocean cruises.
The other likes to import expensive French horses for his wife to ride while at his mansions scattered here and there across the country. The goof can't at least buy from American horse breeders because Ann will have none of that. He also likes doing $10K bets, minimum.

This is sad for me because I thought of you as one of the few grown ups in the GOP. Global warming is proven science, not a democratic or republican issue. A leader is someone who works for all Americans and forgets "party lines". This is why our problems don't get solved.

Why is it every time you read an article about a candidate, it's about their negatives but seldom about their positions?
What are Romney's positions other than the sound-bites in a debate? How about Gingrich? At this point I know Paul's and don't care about the others, although it might be nice to have an article or two on Huntsman.

Jariv – Don't pretend to be what your not.
It's not that hard to check the website of CBO and other INDEPENDENT sources of data related to the current economic status and how it came to be like it is today, and how it could have become if the current POTUS had not take the steps he took (there's a few studies from CBO exclusively focused in the 2008 crisis). It's not that hard to check the archives sections of as many as possible news websites and see how many times the POTUS' adversaries said 'He will fail in doing --------- and/or ------', and had to conveniently forget what they said after they were proven wrong.
    Just go looking for it.

@tykl: careful that you don't use overblown rhetoric to criticize overblown rhetoric.

"Romney has a resume to run this country that dwarfs BO's to oblivion". What?
I think we all agree that Obama has a bunch more experience in running this country than any of the GOP candidates. Even the former half governor of Alaska has to acknowledge that. All we know about Mitt is that he's rich and made money in some corporate enterprises. Republicans don't like his record as Governor. at all!! Why else would he still be teetering around 25% support. So much for his 'record'. Heck, they don't like Romney, period. Newt is rich too, but his only real record in politics is that he knows how to obstruct government to the point of closing it down. Other than that, he is a hot air bag, full of himself. Would he know how to work out a compromise ? Which is what Obama has been doing for 3 years, plus cleaning up the mess that Bush left behind. Other corporate records? Herman Cain, we have seen how much business experience prepared him for the political stage... Zero. Bachmann? She and her husband seem to be doing well, financially. Must be getting all this federal money for wads of foster kids and the agriculture subsidies for their farm in Wisconsin. Oh, I forgot, her husband counsels patients by faith, science be dam.ned.

You see, just because you're a business man doesn't mean you know how to run a family or a country. Not to mention a complex global society.

shhhh; some would love to ignore that. Much along the same lines of the myth that Ronnie Ray-gun was a fiscal conservative that helped reduce the debt.

Jariv, believe me , we do understand how important businesses are to our nation. As an immigrant from El Salvador, you should know better than most what happens when you have enormous wealth concentrated in the hands of a few people because you have lived it. We are seeing a shift in that direction in this country as a DIRECT result of the economic policies of thelast 3 decades that have favored the wealthy over the middle class. Romney's morals are admirable where his personal life is concerned, but he is part of that concentration of wealth and power that has caused our society to become less stable and more volatile. If you can't grasp that, than perhaps you don't grasp what this country is about: fairness and compromise. We have been successful because enough people have been willing to do those things, rather than pander to one group, or to play factions off against each other. Romney and Gingrich would sell their mothers if they felt it would get them ahead: just look at Romney's elastic positions and Gingrich's money trail.

Mitt should try to run as a moderate Democrat. He'd be a much more valid choice for all those who don't like president Obama. And we'd have a real campaign about issues. Outcome, still questionable, but for argument's sake.

By slipping into his "I am a conservative just like you-suit" every morning, he has to twist his every thought and program and statement so he doesn't slip up. I feel sorry for him. He'd make an interesting vicepresident under Obama. Then he could run on his own record later on.
He simply chose the wrong crowd to hang out with.

I am sorry but Romney has created more jobs then Obama (more then 2 million)? Living in France on a church mission while his millions were safe at home ? Thats foreign policy ? With all due respect please do a little more research on Mitts, you just may change your mind a little. I am not saying Mitts is a bad person but his resume is pretty specific in that he only created jobs through a cut and slash mentality and was 47th as Governor in job creation.

The horses are part of Ann's therapy for her illness. You may think of it as luxury but it is not. The Romney's live a life of practical living. they do not spend more than they earn... an example for all of us. The husband who is faithful to his wife, and a wife who is supportive and believes in her husband. People profess their faith on family and God, the Romney's live it. Bain may have layed off ALL their employees if not for Romney's saving it. Romney was asked to save the company. The laying off of employees is part of the process.. whichever business you look at. The Big Government under OBAMA has to go and lay off them too to make a good change. Otherwise, the whole country will suffer.
