Bachmann labels Gingrich 'memory challenged'

(CNN) – Michele Bachmann accused fellow GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich of talking down to her at the debate Thursday night, saying the former House speaker is "memory challenged."

"Well, frankly, I thought that it was outrageous and insulting, the way that he seemed to treat me like I was a student and I'm not. I'm a serious candidate for president of the United States and I had my facts right and he has said this repeatedly and he's just not true," Bachmann said on CNN's "The Situation Room" Friday. "He's memory challenged."

The Minnesota congresswoman said she does not know if his comments stemmed from her gender, but said they were "condescending" and not befitting a fellow candidate.

During an interaction over their stances on abortion during Thursday's debate, Gingrich told Bachmann she sometimes "doesn't get her facts very accurate," a sentiment over which Bachmann disagreed.

She also told CNN's Wolf Blitzer that she was "disappointed" South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley formally backed rival Mitt Romney Friday, before adding that she greatly respects the first-term governor. Bachmann met with Haley at her home in South Carolina ahead of the endorsement.

But even without her support, Bachmann said she is confident she will prove victorious in the Palmetto State, which hosts the first-in-the-South primary contest.

"We think with the cannon shot we're going to get out of Iowa that we'll do very well in South Carolina," Bachmann said.

If she were president and a U.S. drone crashed in Iran, as one did last week, Bachmann said she would "seek to obtain that drone." However, she would not provide further details because "it's not prudent to say as a president what I would do ahead of time."

"I wouldn't be ever communicating to the enemy what my intents will be and what level of force I would use, only to send the signal: Don't try it," Bachmann said. "If I'm president of the United States, don't even bother trying."

C'mon GOP, just nominate Kim Kardashian and get it over with. At least the Kardashians have some character.

From Fact check: nuff said -----During a sharp exchange over abortion, Gingrich accused Bachmann of not getting her “facts very accurate” and the Minnesota congresswoman insisted “my facts are accurate.” She was right — although her facts could have used some important context.

If she has to come off as smarter, it's game over. Huntsman is the only one of the lot who has a brain between his ears, and he seems relatively middle-of-the road-so he has zero chance in the GOP looney sweepstakes.

Huntsman is the best they have, but then the republicans are bottom feeders and will not present their best, but will support the worst of the worst for they have not and will not live in the present , they keep living in the past and have not figured out yet that Reagan is not with us any more. They cannot get him or his time out of their minds and besides, it would be much better if they really quoted one their best and that would be Teddy Roosevelt, and it would suit their living the past as far as possible to their liking, for they do not like their really best which was LIncoln for he freed the slaves, and the republicans cannot get out of their heads the Blacks have been giving the same rights as the whites, this is especially true in the so called red states.

She is coming out on the short end of the stick. I would never vote for a candidate who does not run on their own record. She is running on Newt's record.

Gingrich has selective memory and uses it only when it suits him. Yes, this clown is a true career politician and has been fined for ethic violations. Look people wake up the only thing you can count on in human nature is greed and over time even the most honest become corrupt after enough temptation and this bozo has plenty of time to be an elitist stooge. Don't drink the Kool Aid people wake up. But if you want this aristocracy disguising itself as a democracy to continue just go back to putting your heads in the sand.

"Bachmann said she is confident she will prove victorious in the Palmetto State"

Well, she is lying right there. She knows perfectly well that she is not going to win. If she thinks otherwise, may the lord give her some wisdom.

Gingrich is ethically and morally challenged.... Bachmann, too, is ethically and morally challenged. This collection of GOP candidates are simply deficient. Very deficient. Not one worthy of the highest office of the land.

No one pointed out that Bachmann made another false claim in the debate as she criticized Ron Paul for his "dangerous" comments about not intervening in Iran. She said that Iran has threatened to "wipe Israel off the map," which is true, with a "nuclear" attack, which is not. The distinction is important in that if Iran had threatened to use its nuclear weapons, it would be acknowledging that it HAS nuclear weapons, which it has not. This loose interpretation of the truth has been a characteristic of Bachmann and she oftens gets the facts wrong.

Oh, now there's some mighty-awesome diplomacy for ya. "Don't even try it, suckahs." And when they do, what? Do you start Global Thermonuclear Warfare, or do you laugh and give us those Bachmann eyes and say "Just kidding!"
