With caucus in sight, Bachmann hits Iowa airwaves

(CNN) - With days counting down to Iowa's kickoff to the presidential voting season, Michele Bachmann is hitting airwaves in the state to boost her presidential bid.

The two 30-second spots, which feature Bachmann supporters praising the candidate for her candor and socially conservative views, are culled from interviews during Bachmann's campaign swing through all 99 counties in Iowa.

"She says she's not a politician. I like that," says a man in one ad.

Another voter praises Bachmann's campaign style, saying "Whenever she speaks, there's a passion in her, and it's real."

In addition to running statewide on Iowa television stations, the spots will be featured on radio and on the Internet.

Bachmann's campaign strategy has long been focused almost exclusively on Iowa. The Minnesota congresswoman was born in the state, and enjoyed an early boost after winning the Ames Straw Poll in August.

Bachmann previously ran ads in Iowa over the summer that focused on her Iowa roots, as well as fiscally conservative credentials.

Bachmann's standing in Iowa polls has decreased since an early peak after the straw poll win. An Iowa State/Gazette/KCRG poll, taken December 8-18, showed Bachmann in fifth place in Iowa, at 7%.

On Thursday, Bachmann downplayed those numbers, telling CNN's Chief National Correspondent John King the numbers were insignificant.

"There's polls up and down all day. Who cares?" she said.

I honestly and seriously believe that Rep. Bachmann is sincere in what she says.
I honestly and seriously believe that Rep. Bachmann is not a politician, and is unqualified to be POTUS.
Mr. Bachmann, I am so sorry for you. But, you've been chopped. You can pack your lies.

Can you still buy caucus votes? By the way, do 160 million workers know she was opposed voted to the two month extension.

Do teavangelicals know that we are coming out of a republican near depression, that we need to create jobs, that the mastermind of terror against us is dead, and we just ended a ten year war in Iraq? I thought not. That explains abortion as your number one priority.

Those mouth-breathing nutjobs will vote for anyone that says Jesus 6 million times a day and lies about everybody and everything and makes up imaginary rules and happenings.

"She says she's not a politician. I like that," says a man in one ad.

Later the man was overheard saying, “This guy over here says he is not a doctor, so I am going to have him remove my gallbladder.”

Ms. Bachmann is no doubt busy converting all the gays in Iowa into straight, right wing, republican voters.

Bachmann has the beauty and brains of a centerfold - and should stick to that instead of mucking about in politics. She would be of better service to this nation with a staple in her navel.

Wait! Bachmann covered all 99 counties in Iowa? How is that possible? Rick Santorum's people said HE was the only one who was in all 99 counties in Iowa. If Bachmann was telling the truth, then that means Santorum (or his people) has lied, and that would be a sin.
But the real question is why is CNN giving so much coverage to two candidates who barely outpoll the Margin of Error?

    GI Joe,
They have to say Jesus a lot. Just as they have to wear a crucifix, go to church when the most people will see them, put metal fishes on their cars and tell everyone they know that they are Christians. Why, you ask? Because no one would ever be able to tell from their very unchristian behavior what religion they are.

Happy Holidays to you. Looking forward to more great posts in 2012!

It is tough enough to live in Iowa. However, some of them will make it even worse and vote for the little, old, low-level
ex IRS employee. What a waste of votes. She will never be elected to anything.

Ms Bachmann, get with it. You are a joke with nothing to offer. Our Nation requires leadership equipped with clear thinking,we cannot function in the kind of time warp you propose.
