The Iowa caucuses: a media game

(CNN) - As you're being inundated with wall-to-wall coverage of the Iowa caucuses this week, keep the following number in mind: zero.

The quest for the GOP's presidential nomination is ultimately a race for delegates. With 2,286 delegates attending the party's national convention in Tampa at the end of August, the backing of slightly over half of that group - 1,144 - will be needed for Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, or someone else to capture the prize.

  3. Republican who supports President Obama

Where is the button showing 'Mission Accomplished' banner with GWB in his flight suit?
I would also love to see a button showing a graph of the DOW index from 2000 through 2008.

The GOP is a joke. Too much emphasis on this farce.

Voters who truly miss GWBush ought to have their heads examined....

Trillions in war costs...4600 killed-tens of thousands wounded-over a hundred thousand Iraqi and Afghan deaths-failure to get Bin Laden ("I really don't think about him that much"-GW) non-regulation that sparked the near collapse of the U.S. economy....

Yup-there's a lot to miss there.....

They forgot "mission accomplished" which President Obama finished for him or anything that has to do with the debacle in wall street and the money millions of Americans lost thanks to the village idiot from TX.
The teapublikans should stop it with the idolizing of reagan. He did more to sink this country that any president since and that includes the shrub.

But, doesn't that mantra totally contradict the "trickle down" economic religion, which liberals have been saying for decades is a complete class warfare scam that has been played on The People of the middle class? Yes.

I'm just trying to understand what it is that makes some Democrats think poorly of companies in the American Petroleum Industry. These are companies that directly employ 113,000 Americans at an average wage of about $32.15 per hour. These are hard-working middle class Americans. The product is used by every American whether you drive a Nissan Leak or a Hummer or a Schwinn. I say build the pipeline and do what we can to support this thriving American industry. They do their part for our country. Clean energy is good, but petroleum drives America right now. That's important. ( and no, I have no affiliation at all with that industry ).
